Bidding goodbye is probably one of the toughest things in life. This applies well in the anime world.

It has been said that the hardest part of producing a good anime is creating the ending. Many anime series have told amazing stories only to present an ending that viewers do not want or expect.

Fortunately, though, there are animes that succeed on this part, and we will review what these animes are here in this PVP Live post. CBR shares a list of the best anime finales ever created.

  1. ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” is regarded as one of the best anime series around. What even makes this anime more remarkable is how well it does when concluding its characters’ stories. It is not just the protagonists getting a good ending, but every vital character fans love.

Fans of this anime also like that Ed is successful at defeating Father, and the consequence of their fight that makes sense. The last episode also has the best love confession in all of anime. El and Al are able to achieve their goal, but their journey does not end there, which is what makes its finale so incredible.

  1. ‘Naruto: Shippuden’

Did you expect “Naruto: Shippuden” on this list? We did too. “Naruto” was aired for several years, so seeing this anime end has definitely been bittersweet. Fans were looking forward to seeing Naruto grow as a Shinobi, but they also missed the times in the series when Naruto was portrayed as an idiot but with big dreams.

You will also probably agree that the series’ final arc was not perfect, but the characters got the ending they deserved. They resolved their issues, and Naruto built the family he always wanted.

  1. ‘YuYu Hakusho’

The “YuYu Hakusho” anime ended before the manga did. Still, unlike other animes that were canceled before they could fully adapt the manga, the ending of this show is downright satisfying. Yusuke is able to get to know his demon side more, but he is not forced to abandon his human life altogether.

Fans also found Keiko and Yusuke’s reunion to be heartwarming. Plus, it was nice to see team Urameshi together again one last time before the show came to a close. Though the final episode of this anime seemed subdued, sometimes this is what a show actually needs to bring together a satisfying finale.

  1. ‘Assassination Classroom’

The top spot in the CBR list went to “Assassination Classroom.” Fans of this anime fell in love with the pervy teacher Korosensei, which made it hard to believe the series would actually kill him. Nonetheless, it is incredibly satisfying.

However, compared to the rest of the series, the final episode lacks that comedic energy. After the death of Korosensei, the series had a slower finale. But, the final episode was a tribute to Korosensei, showcasing how the students have grown and how important Korosensei was to their lives.

The rest of the animes with the best finales on this list are “The Legend of Korra,” “Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War,” “Cowboy Bebop,” “Inuyasha: The Final Act,” “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” and “Fruits Basket.”
