People who are into content creation may be among the luckiest in the world. We’re living in the influencer age where, interestingly, consumers believe these guys more than other influential people in the mainstream.
To illustrate, these influencers are not only raking income from views but also from viewer donations. A story online lists content creators like Ninja, PewDiePie, Tyler Oakley, Judy Travis, and Mike Sherbakov, among others, who have gathered donations they then use for charitable purposes.
Speaking of donations, another influencer is adding to that list, and that’s Kai Cenat. This Twitch streamer and YouTuber has recently received $11,000 worth of Twitch subscriptions donated to him.
What shocked Kai Cenat is that the donor may be a child!
Twitch subscriptions, more popularly known as Twitch subs, allow viewers to pay on a monthly basis to support your channel. In turn, the donors get access to your emotes, alongside other benefits the content creator can define.
In the August 20th broadcast of Kai Cenat, a viewer named Takky gifted the influencer a total of 2,350 subs. Each sub costs $4.99, so that would be around $11,000 to $12,000.
While Kai Cenat couldn’t contain his happiness, this changed to a look of surprise when viewers rushed into the chat section to reveal that the donor may be a child.
They found a YouTube channel named Takky, whose content features a child playing “NBA 2K24.”
Of course, nobody could confirm whether the donor and the child on the YouTube channel are the same.
Kai Cenat couldn’t believe it, saying the child may have stolen “his mom’s card.”
Even more mysterious, Takky stopped giving donations when the viewers revealed they may be a kid.
Twenty-two-year-old Kai Cenat is best known for his live-streamed and comedy content on YouTube and Twitch. He was born to parents hailing from the Caribbean. His dad is from Haiti, and his mom is from Trinidad and Tobago.
But don’t be confused by his look of surprise, as it seems that’s his default face.
