Call of Duty Mobile Adds Desperado Class In Next Season’s Battle Royale

Call of Duty Mobile new Desperado class will introduce Shield Turrets to the battle royale mode. Since releasing in 2019, Call of Duty Mobile has become a big player in the mobile gaming scene, earning hundreds of millions in its first year alone. Many have admired how identical Call of Duty Mobile is to the original game.

A new Call of Duty Mobile season, called “New Order,” is scheduled to release a few days from now. It promises to be an interesting addition to the series. Fortunately, for fans who are yearning to get their hands flying for another year of the game, the new season will also introduce a new class – Desperado.

According to Call of Duty Mobile’s official Twitter page, the Desperado class will allow players to be “an offensive defender” and “get back into the fight with Last Stand!” The new class will also feature a popular perk and equipment from the Call of Duty franchise.

First up, the class will introduce the Shield Turret as its equipment bonus. Loyal Call of Duty fans will recognize that the Shield Turret is a killstreak in Call of Duty Modern Warfare as well as a scorestreak in Call of Duty Mobile multiplayer mode.

The Shield Turret scorestreak was introduced to Call of Duty Mobile as part of Season 9’s Conquest update last year. The turret can be deployed anywhere on the map, giving cover to the player using it. The turret has unlimited ammo with a shield in front providing cover from enemy gunfire.

However, the shield does not protect the turret gun itself. With only a bit of HP, the turret is quite vulnerable to enemy attacks and can be destroyed easily. If the enemy is still able to survive the shower of bullets coming from the turret, the second feature of the Desperado class, the Last Stand, will come in handy. The Last Stand is a perk that has existed in past Call of Duty games and dates back to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Last Stand gives players one last chance for vengeance when they have received fatal damage. Generally, with the perk equipped, the player would only fall down rather than dying upon taking fatal damage and pull out a pistol with max ammo. They will not be able to move nor swap weapons but will be able to shoot enemies until the pistol runs out of bullets, the timer on the perk ends, or they are hit by a killstreak or explosion.
