In games like “Destiny 2,” you have to keep your eyes open for the details, or you’ll miss the fun. One way to find loot worth your time and effort is through the Resonate Stem. Find out what they are in this guide and how to get them.
What Are Resonate Stems?
“Destiny 2” players, know that Resonate Stems can be used to craft Override Frequencies, unlocking hidden nodes across several locations. Combining four Resonate Stems reveals coordinates to secret loot or lore-related collectibles. Quite stunning.
What Are The Purposes of Resonate Stems?
After completing the intro mission for the Season, you may want to approach the Exo Frame, where you’ll claim the Resonate AMP. Without this, there will be no Resonate Stems. Furthermore, you also need the AMP to turn four Resonate Stems into an Override Frequency. While this is categorized as a consumable, you won’t see it in your inventory. Instead, the Resonate AMP text shall update and show a new message.
Across every station in “Destiny 2,” you can find tiny floating diamonds that resemble what you encountered in the Warmind expansion in the third season. The Override Frequency will provide a clue as to which diamonds it shall open. The very first word tells you what Destination to turn your gaze on, along with which part of the Destination you should search.
For instance, one area where to find a diamond is the Anchor of Light on the Moon. Should the Override Frequency be intended for this diamond, you will see this message on the Resonance AMP, or something like this: “Moon: Anchor of Light: ???”
After you’ve located the diamond, you can take advantage of the Override Frequency to collect loot from it. The diamond shall be able to drop new IKELOS weapons, so farming Resonate Stems for enhanced weapon rolls and a Deepsight Resonance version of your IKELOS weapons is recommended.
Aside from their purpose for Override Frequencies, you may also use Resonate Stems to focus on Umbral Engrams, considering you can do so. In other words, Resonate Stems help you obtain some more loot without giving you the opportunity to acquire weapons with Deepsight Resonance.
Where To Get Resonate Stems
Fantastic purpose, but how do you get them? Well, Resonate Stems drop from the new Season of the Seraph activity, Heist Battlegrounds, and playlist activities, such as Crucible, Gambit, and Strikes. Completing Nightfall activities also drops them. See how many Resonate Stems you’ve collected by launching your Inventory and highlighting the Resonance AMP item.
Note that the number of Stems you can get varies. The most efficient way so far is by opening the regular and Seraph chests, which are your Heist Battleground chests. Take note also that the Seraph one requires Seraph Key Codes to get unlocked, so be sure you farm enough for sufficient supply. Opening both of those chests gives you five Resonate Stems.
