Diablo 2: Resurrected will be released at the end of next month, but fans of Blizzard’s hack-and-slash dungeon crawling franchise won’t have to wait that long to get their hands on it. Blizzard has revealed the precise start date for the Diablo 2: Resurrected open beta, as well as the early access start date.
Early access to Diablo 2: Resurrected will begin on Friday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. PT and run all weekend. Anyone pre-orders Diablo 2: Resurrected or Diablo Prime Evil Collection for PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox will have early access. Despite the fact that Diablo 2: Resurrected will have a Switch port, it will not be included in the early access weekend or the open beta.
After the early access period, Diablo 2: Resurrected fans may participate in the public open beta, which begins on Friday, August 20 at 10:00 a.m. PT and runs through the weekend. That weekend, anybody with a PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One will be able to download and play the Diablo 2: Resurrected open beta. Early access progress will be carried over to the open beta, however, it does not appear that beta progress will be carried over to the final game.
The first two Acts of Diablo 2: Resurrected will be available in the open beta, and players will be able to level up as much as they desire because there will be no cap. Players will be able to test out the Paladin and Druid classes in Diablo 2: Resurrected, as well as the regular Amazon, Barbarian, and Sorceress characters. The game will also enable online multiplayer and PvP to ensure that the open beta is representative of the full Diablo 2 experience.
The open beta for Diablo 2: Resurrected is the penultimate significant stage before the game’s official release in late September. The Diablo 2: Resurrected release date is rapidly approaching, so those who were pleased by the beta will soon be able to play the entire game.
Diablo 2: Resurrected’s release will hopefully keep fans of the series occupied as they wait for the future installments in the long-running series. The Diablo Immortal mobile game, which was contentious when it was initially revealed but has received excellent response from testers, is next, while Diablo 4 is also in production. After Blizzard has successfully published Diablo 2: Resurrected, fans may expect additional information on both of those Diablo projects.
