Disco Elysium – The Final Cut will be released for Nintendo Switch in October, according to Nintendo and developer ZA/UM. The award-winning detective role-playing game first debuted on PC in October 2019 and rapidly gained widespread praise.
Disco Elysium – The Final Cut was released in March for PlayStation systems, giving an enhanced version of the basic game. The addition of complete voice acting for each character was the most vital element of the Final Cut.
Political Vision Quests were also included in the bundle; while they had no direct influence on the overall story, they did reveal new people and previously unknown things. The very creative art team at ZA/UM also took the chance to build on environmental elements, produce new animations, update character portraits, and increase light and sound effects. Another audience will soon be able to partake in the enthralling adventure.
Nintendo and ZA/UM announced a release date for the Switch version of Disco Elysium – The Final Cut during the September 2021 Nintendo Direct stream, which aired this evening. On October 12, Switch gamers will be able to take on the role of Revachol’s best investigator, known as The Cop.
Even better, those who want to get started right now may pre-order Disco Elysium on the Nintendo eShop right now. A physical version is also in the works, according to ZA/UM, although it won’t be released until 2022. In the video below, you can see The Final Cut’s “Switch Edition” trailer:
Thankfully, this does not appear to be a half-baked Nintendo Switch version. The RPG was entirely tailored for portable gameplay, according to the Disco Elysium website. As a result, the user interface has been improved, and Switch owners may expect customizable text size choices. It’ll also include all of The Final Cut’s added material, such as a fully voiced cast and additional missions.
Several more significant announcements were made during today’s Nintendo Direct. For one thing, the long-awaited Brewster update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be revealed in October. In addition, throughout the month of October, Nintendo Switch Online will introduce a new sub-tier, which will include Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis classics.
