Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates, is known for offering luxurious pleasures. From its Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, to sophisticated shopping malls, many people head over to this city to experience luxury.
And it is proving itself to be at the forefront of everything luxury with CAVIAR, a company based in Dubai, reimagining and creating Apple Vision Pro for those who want things to get super luxurious. Here’s the news report.
Work of designer art
No, it’s not the expensive food with salt-cured roe, but CAVIAR is a Dubai-based company known for creating custom luxury-class devices. Its most recent project would be the Apple Vision Pro CAVIAR Edition, also known as CVR Edition.
When Apple unveiled its breakthrough Vision Pro during last month’s WWDC event, it regarded the device as a “spatial computer,” a feature that seamlessly blends digital content with the real world while allowing users to be present and connected with others.
CAVIAR said the idea behind their version of the Vision Pro was to transform this spatial computer into a work of designer art.
“Caviar has transformed the Apple Vision Pro into a pinnacle of both technology and style,” the brand said on its YouTube channel. “This visionary device not only offers advanced features but also stands as a work of art, seamlessly blending into your personal space.”
Vision Pro with 18-karat gold, Connolly leather
CAVIAR’s Apple Vision Pro and its protective mask are adorned with over 1.5 kilograms of 18-karat gold. Meanwhile, its headband is made from Connolly leather. This type of leather is supplied to the British Royal Court and Rolls-Royce, guaranteeing an indulgent and comfortable experience for the person using it.
It is beautiful. It is luxurious. The Apple Vision Pro CAVIAR Edition takes inspiration from Tom Ford’s flip-up glasses, as well as Gucci’s ski masks, to turn this remarkable headset into a “pinnacle of both technology and style.”
Option for more privacy
And that’s not all. If you closely follow details about Apple’s Vision, you would know that AR/VR headset has EyeSight, a feature that makes the headset feel transparent by showing the person’s eyes while they are wearing it.
This feature allows others around the user to know if they are immersed in the virtual environment or using an app. But CAVIAR knows how to value privacy.
The Dubai-based luxury brand thought of offering a privacy option to their version of Vision Pro in such a way that users can hide their eyes on the external screen. CAVIAR did this since they discovered that not everybody wants their eyes shown on the device’s screen.
This is not the first time CAVIAR reimagined popular devices and turned them into works of luxury. It also envisioned the future of the iPhone 15 inspired by concept cars, and the iPhone 14 Pro with a built-in Rolex Daytona watch and racing car dashboard, among others.
If you want to own this version of Apple’s Vision Pro, you may not be in luck. CAVIAR said they will only make 24 units of the Apple Vision Pro CAVIAR Edition, which will launch in the fall of 2024. The original version will be available by early next year.
Also, Apple Vision Pro CAVIAR Edition is priced at a whopping $39,000, too far from the price of the original Apple Vision Pro at $3,499.
Do you think CAVIAR’s version is all worth it?
