Release Schedule

So, there’s no “Wednesday” this year, but for sure, with this reveal, you’ll have something to look forward to next year, right?
The Plot
Even if you already know the story of “The Addams Family, Netflix’s “Wednesday” ensures there will be surprises. Apparently, the series will continue to chart the mysteries Wednesday will encounter as she attends Nevermode Academy. There will be more “torture.”
The lead actress, Jenna Ortega, spoke with the media, saying, “[Wednesday] sticks to her guns, and she’s not out to please anybody. Which, as someone who used to be an immense people pleaser, I really respect.”
New Faces
Just like how it is with “The Vampire Diaries,” the cast carousel isn’t stale in “Wednesday.” There will be new characters.
Alongside Ortego, the following are expected to reprise their roles:
- Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair)
- Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay)
- Moosa Mostafa (Eugene)
- Georgie Farmer (Ajax)
- Victor Dorobantu (Thing)
- Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams)
- Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams)
- Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams)
- Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago)
Those were the returning regulars. The returning guest stars are:
- Jamie McShane (Sheriff Donovan Galpin)
- Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester)
Plus, there will be new series regulars, which include:
- Steve Buscemi
- Billie Piper
- Evie Templeton
- Owen Painter
- Noah Taylor
New guest stars include Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo, and more.
Redemption Story?
Perhaps the most interesting news about “Wednesday” Season 2 so far is the possible redemption story of one of the characters.
In one of the official teasers of “Wednesday” Season 2 on X, the character of Ortega is seen reading from a folder, outlining details about a corpse that had been savagely murdered. On the file’s cover, the words “Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital” were seen, and fans quickly concluded it was about Tyler Galpin, the hospital where he was carted off to in Season 1. Insiders say that Wednesday will have more encounters with Tyler, who is set to redeem himself.
