If you are a fan of the “Dragon Ball Z” anime series, you should know that there are games based on the series, such as “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi.” If you haven’t played this game yet, it’s about time that you should.

“Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi” is a series of fighting games from the developer Spike, based on the “Dragon Ball” manga by Akira Toriyama.

“Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi” is reportedly launching a new game in the series, to be called “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.” But here’s the catch. No absolute, paramount, and official information about this game has been released yet, despite rumors saying it is launching this month. But we’re already almost in the middle of July, and no official word yet, still.

What fans can do for now is to hope. Let’s give you a break from all these uncertainties with a list of the features that “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4” should bring back from the previous games in the series.

1. Giant Characters

The ever-phenomenal “Dragon Ball” universe features some gigantic characters like Janemba’s first form, Hirudegarn, and Lord Slug, as well as the Great Ape form that all Saiyans have. The classic “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi” have allowed gamers to control these ginormous characters, such as when battling with other giant or normal-sized characters. It has brought fun to the fights, so many in the gaming community wish these giant characters would return in “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.”

2. Tournaments With Different Features

Like how giant characters star in the anime series, there are also various martial arts tournaments featured in the show, and it would be great if those tournaments would be part of the “upcoming” game. For instance, players touching the ground outside the ring in the World Martial Arts Tournament get disqualified, just like what happens in the show.

3. The Ability To Destroy Planets

The “Dragon Ball Z” anime is also known for characters powerful enough to destroy planets, yes, their entirety. This can be difficult to convey in video games, but it would undoubtedly mean a lot if this ability is present in the game. For instance, if players use massive attacks like the Supernova or Spirit Bomb, they can destroy a whole planet. This can make players feel like they are powerful Saiyans, as seen in the show when playing the game.

4. Manual Transformations In The Middle Of A Battle

One of the defining features of the previous “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi” games is giving players the ability to manually transform even in the middle of a battle, instead of simply selecting a Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan 2 version of Goku, for instance, from the character selection. It would be nice if this feature would be part of “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4.”
