“Genshin Impact” releases versions – or updates or patches – from time to time. These versions are crucial updates in the game, and each usually lasts around six weeks. They are designed to continually improve how the game is played.

New Character Details Up To Version 4.6
Leakers say that the all-new five-star characters in the game’s version 4.2 to 4.6 are women. Kind of interesting. But here are what’s mentioned in older leaks:
- Version 4.2 may have Furina (Hydro Sword)
- Version 4.3 may have Arlecchino (Pyro Sword)
- Version 4.4 may have Cloud Retainer (Weapon and type are unknown)
Meanwhile, here are other five-star characters with unidentified released dates.
- Chiori (Electro)
- Clorinde (Electro Sword)
- Navia (Geo)
- Sigewinne (Hydro Bow)
Then, here are the unknown four-star characters. Please take note that they don’t have a release version yet.

Rumors On Zhongli Skin
After learning the leaks on the upcoming character types, let’s head to the rumors on the Zhongli skin.
Recent rumors say Amber and Zhongli will have skins in version 4.4. This version is said to launch this January 2024, so expect to find more information about these costumes in the coming weeks.
A leaker named @HutaoLover77, whose account on X is deactivated as of this time of writing, previously said, “It’s true that Zhongli has a new skin… I don’t know when it will be released. [This] was rumored before, but apparently, they are planning it now.”
Also, it has been a trend that new skins have come out in updates ending in “4” or “8” as of the last four batches. Following this, there is more probability that players will get some new outfits when version 4.4 comes out. But the Zhongli and Amber rumors are still not official.
However, old leaks, particularly those from a leaker who goes by the name PTL, say that either Zhongli or Qiqi is the five-star character getting the new skin.
Potential Rarity Changes
About potential rarity changes, @HutaoLover77 previously stated that they heard Chiori and Sigewinne might no longer be five-star characters but rather four-star. But then again, this leak is unofficial, especially since the leaker said they only heard about it as a rumor.
Some “Genshin Impact” characters for versions 4.2 to 4.6 do not have anything known about their gameplay capabilities yet as well. There is little to no gameplay footage of those characters at the moment. Likewise, many leakers are keeping mum, except for the news that Furina will have an ability that drains the allies’ HP to buff their damage output.
Release Dates
“Genshin Impact” 4.2 is expected to release this November 8th, while 4.3 is said to go live this December 20th.
As for version 4.4., the expected release date is January 31st, 2024, 4.5 is slated for a March 2024 release date, and 4.6 this April 2024. Plus, take note that what have been leaked so far are still subject to changes.
