“Live A Live,” touted as one of the Nintendo Switch’s best Japanese role-playing games or JRPGs, is now up with a rare discount on your favorite eCommerce platforms.
The game is now for only $39 at Walmart, from $50. The physical edition has been sold out as of press time, but you can still grab a digital copy for only $39.
If you do not mind spending a little bit more, you can purchase the physical edition somewhere else, at Best Buy for $40.
All about ‘Live A Live’
“Live A Live” was launched last year as a Nintendo Switch-exclusive remake of the original Super Famicom release from 1994. The Switch version features updated visuals using the “HD 2D” style shared with other recent Square Enix titles such as “Triangle Strategy,” a remastered soundtrack from the composition of Yoko Shimomura, with all-new voice acting and other improvements.
This remake was among the biggest surprises of the previous year, marking the first time this game was localized officially outside Japan. The original game garnered a cult following, like literally, thanks to its novel gameplay structure where players play through the eight main storylines of the characters in any order. Each of these features its own settings, art style, and even gameplay mechanics. “Live A Live” has also received rave reviews from different media outlets.
Not only those but “Live A Live” has also been a major influence video game series “Octopath Traveler” and its upcoming sequel, “Octopath Traveler 2,” which happens to have a demo gamers can play right now ahead of its release this February 24th.
More Nintendo Switch games deals
In other news and more deals on Nintendo Switch games, the top-reviewed game on Nintendo Switch in 2022 has now been slashed to its lowest price thus far.
Overall, you know that 2022 was a solid year for Nintendo Switch as the console saw titles such as “Splatoon 3,” “Xenoblade Chronicles 3,” “Pokémon Legends: Arceus,” “Bayonetta 3,” and many others hitting the Switch. And, while others might think that last year’s best-reviewed Switch game would come from Nintendo directly, it would actually be a collection of new ports from yesteryear.
Currently, the “Portal Companion Collection” on Nintendo Switch has been marked down by 40 percent and is selling for only $11.99 on the Nintendo eShop.
This collection of both “Portal” and “Portal 2” was launched last year for the first time on Switch, and has previously been on sale for reasonable rates in recent months.
It has been said that this current sale, which will last until February 28th, is the best so far for “Portal Companion Collection” since it arrived on Nintendo Switch last summer.
Following behind this game on Nintendo Switch in terms of aggregate scores at Metacritic were “Chained Echoes,” “Persona 5 Royal,” and “Xenoblade Chronicles 3.”
If you somehow have never played either of the two “Portal” titles and you own a Nintendo Switch, now is the right time to, so you should grab this discount while it lasts.
