Gaining XP is almost a necessity in “Minecraft,” similar to tents being a necessity for outdoor campers.

XP in “Minecraft,” which is the short term for “Experience,” are crucial when you want to level up, improve your equipment and tools, repair items, rename and combine enchantments, and more.

However, XP doesn’t come to you like fruits blossoming in trees. You must need to gain them. So, in this PVP Live guide, you will learn the fastest and most effective ways to earn XP in this sandbox game. Let’s get started.

1. Kill Mobs

Mobs are everywhere in “Minecraft.” They will attack you, so you must defend yourself and defeat this monster. When you do, you won’t just survive the encounter and obtain items that the mobs drop but also gain XP. However, note that the amount of XP you can earn depends on the mob type.

Some mobs you can farm are Enderman, Zombies, and Skeletons. You may also construct your mob farm, boosting the chances of gaining XP. This is the most time and effort-saving method for leveling up through combat with the most hostile mobs.

2. Mine Ores

Another way to get XP fast is when you don’t need to veer away from the game’s title itself. Yes, mine ores. However, as you do, you must prioritize mining ores that can immediately grant XP points, such as coal, redstone, lapis, emeralds, and diamonds. Not all minable ores are good. So, choose those ores instead of those that need smelting, such as gold and iron.

Thus far, the best ore to mine is Nether quartz, which can provide the most Experience possible. But, if you don’t want to situate yourself in a dangerous scenario, the next best option is redstone. Proceed to the mountain biome to get the ideal mines.

3. Build A Makeshift Farm

Sometimes, constructing enormous farms can be too intimidating and time-consuming. But that’s perfectly alright. Another speedy solution to gain XP is to create makeshift farms.

However, one of these farms will require you to defeat the Ender Dragon first after locating a Stronghold and finishing the quest to unleash the End. But this will yield consistent XP and Ender Pearls.

Also, you must construct a straightforward platform at a height of fewer than three blocks, then directly stand underneath while starting at the Enderman around you. Be sure to take them out when they attack you. Beware, too, because they can become angry.

4. Build A Bamboo And Cacti Smelter

Aside from the farms you must build to gain XP, as presented above, another trendy and incredibly efficient farm is the bamboo and cacti smelter. Not only is this one of the best to farm, but it is also one of the easiest when you need XP. This method is so good that many gamers have named it their XP bank.

Plus, the beauty of this approach is that you get a self-fueling, self-sustaining farm where bamboo is utilized as fuel for furnaces to smelt cacti into dye. Artistic. More so, the farm runs on its own. When the furnaces are emptied, you will gain tons of XP points from all the cacti that have gone through the furnace.

5. Trade With The Villagers

In “Minecraft,” you’ve got to be business-minded, too, or go home. Another way to gain XP in this game is to trade with local villagers. It’s not the most popular way, as it is often overlooked, but it is very beneficial at that.

Each of your exchanges with a village grants a maximum of six XP. Not too much, but they can quickly add up and become useful in other aspects of the video game.

You may also take the DIY track to own the benefits. What you can do is construct a functional villager trading hall that can provide you access to enchantments, armor, and other stuff that may come in handy.

If there’s a downside, that’s having to collect several resources and more stuff before the villagers can let you trade and commerce with them. But you’ll gain XP in any way.

6. Search For Spawners

Not the most exciting way to gain XP in “Minecraft,” but searching for spawners can take your quests further. They take any shape or form, so spotting them offers fabulous advantages. But take note that not every spawner is good. For instance, avoid Spider spawners because they can escape too quickly. Choose Skeleton spawners for the most ideal discovery or Nether spawners, such as Blaze spawners, for the best XP points.

7. Breed Animals

What an exciting way to gain your XP. Breeding is one of the animal-based ways to gain XP in “Minecraft.” Each time a new baby animal is created, an orb is lost. XP becomes an impressive bonus when you breed passive mobs.

To do this triumphantly, capture the animals first on the first day. Wait until the second or third day before you can breed them. You may also fight with skeletons to get awarded with XP. It is beneficial to farming since the frames of skeletons can drop bones you can use as crop fertilizers.

Another method is to fish and breed the fish. Even if you don’t take the fish in your hands, you can still earn XP. However, you must realize that fishing takes a few days to complete since you need to craft a fishing rod, choose a location conducive to fishing, and ensure you don’t have other responsibilities that can get in your way.

Other fast ways to gain XP in “Minecraft” are to make mob grinders, smelt stone or sand, go monster hunting at night, create a piglin bartering farm, and complete advancements.

Play the game solo or with friends on platforms like your Windows, Mac, Nintendo, Chromebook, Xbox, iOS, Android, and PlayStation.
