Hell Let Loose, a 100-player first-person shooter, developed by Black Matter and debuted on PC in July, will soon be available on consoles. Set during World War II, Hell Let Loose puts two 50-player German and American teams against one another in fierce combat involving artillery, tanks, infantry, and a constantly changing frontline. Hell Let Loose is slated to release for Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on October 5, and it currently has a Very Positive rating on Steam based on almost 33,000 reviews.
The Xbox version of Hell Let Loose will be released as a free PlayStation Plus title in October, leaving some Xbox users disappointed. It didn’t help that PS5 players had access to an open beta of the game earlier in September. Several media sources incorrectly labeled Hell Let Loose as a PlayStation 5 platform exclusive, leading to fears that Xbox owners wouldn’t be able to play it at all. Fortunately, this isn’t the case.

On October 5, Xbox Series X and S users will be able to purchase Hell Let Loose, and Microsoft console owners will be able to play the game for free before its release. The developer has stated that a 10-hour trial of Hell Let Loose would be accessible for Xbox Series consoles up to the game’s release. Players will be able to play the whole game, and their progress will be carried over to the retail version.
When the free games for October were revealed, several PlayStation Plus users were disappointed, mainly because Hell Let Loose is a multiplayer game with no single-player possibilities. The game’s response on PC and during the PS5 beta, on the other hand, bodes well for players who love slugging it out with others online.

Carentan, Omaha Beach, and Foy will be among the engagements depicted in Hell Let Loose, which will take place on the Western Front during World War II. The nine game maps, which span a variety of landscapes such as woods, farms, and bridges, were scaled using genuine reconnaissance aerial photographs and satellite data. Each region taken will provide resources to the holding team, which may be utilized to call in reinforcements, bombing runs, new vehicles, and other aspects that might turn the war around.
Players will be able to pick from 14 different jobs, including officer, medic, sniper, and machine gunner, with each role’s unique clothing, weaponry, and vehicles based on historical facts. Due to the importance of collaboration, Hell Let Loose will have in-game proximity, command, and unit VoIP communication.
