“Civilization” fans and players are looking forward to the new addition to the game series, “Civilization VII,” which will be officially unveiled this February 11th. But some gamers are thinking outside the box and challenging norms as they ask, “Can this game revolutionize the United States and its presidents?”
The ‘Civilization’ Game Series
This game series has been bringing you to the world’s greatest and most triumphant empires where you can get the chance to be a powerful leader, and gain control over the economic, political, and military affairs of your dominion.
In “Civilization VII,” you will journey across three distinct Ages, each with its own exclusive historical civilizations you can choose from as you evolve your empire. More on this will be revealed to you as the game launches.
But, early on, some gamers wanted to know if this game’s mechanics were enough for them to vividly depict and revolutionize the United States and its leaders. A few said they wanted to see John F. Kennedy. It’s weird, but true, they said it.
Spotlight On America, But In Low-Key
America’s role as a world superpower since the turn of the 20th century, and perhaps even before, is fully displayed in the late-game scenes of the “Civilization” game series, albeit low-key.
However, the game is still centered on the ancient imperial superpowers, leaving America’s backstory a barren land, so seeing stuff like the history of the Wild West will be a present for gamers.
Former President Kennedy?
When it comes to America’s leaders and presidents, the game has previously featured some of its first leaders, such as Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Theodore Roosevelt. But what about the other important figures in American history? Sure, the gamers feel the game is biased in that regard.
Gaming insiders suggest that the game takes a great leap of faith and feature leaders from the contemporary time, specifically the assassinated president, John. F. Kennedy. His legacy for and contributions to the Space Race from the late 1950s, covering the world’s first steps on the moon in 1969, changed history in many ways. His efforts and influences cannot be discredited, which could deserve a spot in this game. Or not?
How about you? What do you think? Is the “Civilization” game series ready to empower America?
