Jakarta, Indonesia is bound to make history as it hosts the first-ever M Summit Jakarta, an event that will seek to gather esports and gaming industry experts, slated to happen this January 13th.
The popularity of esports in Southeast Asia cannot be denied. It is constantly breaking viewership records, especially for “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang” tournaments all across the globe.
With this, MOONTON Games, the international gaming developer and publisher behind “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang,” will host the inaugural M Summit, aimed at guiding esports and gaming stakeholders in discovering vast areas of opportunities in this industry.
Gathering top speakers, experts
This year’s forum will set the stage for top experts and speakers to discuss trends in Indonesia’s mobile esports arena, new commercial opportunities in the esports economy, and keys to holding a triumphant tournament and building a professional esports team.
M Summit will kick off with a keynote address to be led by MOONTON Games Regional Esports Lead Sophie Go, Regional Esports Sales Head Adrian Cher, and Head of Esports Ecosystem Ray Ng. They will share more about the demographics of MOONTON Games, milestones, partnership models, and the 2023 Esports Roadmap, among others.

Fruitful panel discussions
The first panel discussion is about “What are the upcoming trends and opportunities in Indonesia’s budding mobile esports ecosystem?” It will bring together Rex Regum Qeon CEO Andrian Pauline, GroupM Indonesia Partner Supplies Lead Francisco Tinangon, Mineski Global Esports Director Agustian Hwang, and Deputy Chairman for Digital Economy and Creative Products at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Muhammad Neil El Himam.
This first panel discussion will study the critical pillars of the ecosystem and how stakeholders from various industries can navigate the fast-growing esports environment. ByteDance Public Policy & Government Relations Lead Faris Mufid is slated to moderate the panel.
Meanwhile, the theme of the second panel discussion is “New opportunities in the mobile esports economy,” with panelists Mana Partners co-founder Jamie Lewin, GWI Senior Manager for Corp. (APAC) Handi E. Yusajap, and Head of Esports Willy Tjahyadi.
This panel discussion will dig deeper into the emergence of a new wave of creatives supporting the overall growth of the mobile esports landscape. Moderating this second panel discussion is UniPin SEA Senior VP Community & Esports and Luna Nera Female Gaming Community Founder Debora Imanuella.
Finally, the topic, “Expanding the MLBB’s Esports ecosystem: What are the opportunities in creating partners’ event with MOONTON Games?” will be discussed by ONE Esports Head of Social Trent Davis, RSG CEO and co-founder Jayf Soh, PBESI Deputy Treasure Diana Sutrisno, and KINCIR CEO Rangga Danu Prasateyo.
They will delve into the successful case studies about organizing third-party “MLBB” tournaments, creating content around “MLBB,” and building a professional team. Moderating the panel is Ray Ng.
