The “Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible” (“Kubo-san wa Mob o Yurusanai”) anime will return this April 4th on the AT-X channel at 9:30 p.m. (8:30 a.m. EDT). It is also slated to make its comeback on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11. The anime will re-air from the very first episode. 

The show’s staff delayed the continuation of the airing after the sixth episode because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the production schedule. 

“Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible” premiered last January 10th on AT-X and also aired on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11. HIDIVE is streaming the series as it airs. 

Directing the anime at studio PINE JAM is Kazuomi Koga, who also worked with “Rent-a-Girlfriend,” “Rainy Cocoa,” and “Welcome to Rainy Color.” The PINE JAM studio worked with “Do It Yourself!!” and “Kageki Shoujo!!”

Overseeing and writing the scripts is Yūya Takahashi. Takahashi is also known for “Laughing Under the Clouds,” the fourth part of “Lupin III,” and “Luck & Logic.” Meanwhile, “Comic Girls” character designer Yoshiko Saitō is designing the characters for animation for “Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible.”

Performing the opening theme song titled “Dramatic Janakutemo” (“Even Though it’s Not Dramatic”) is Kana Hanazawa, who is also reportedly a guest voice in the trailer of Saku Sakamoto’s “Feast of Amrira” anime movie.

Meanwhile, Dialogue+ is performing the credits’ theme song, “Kasuka de Tashika.”

Moreover, VIZ Media is releasing the “Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible” manga digitally and in print in English. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service is also releasing the manga in English digitally. 

The anime is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Nene Yukimori. Yukimori launched the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine last October 2019. The manga also runs on the Shonen Jump+ website and app. Shueisha published its 11th compiled book volume in December 2022. On the other hand, VIZ Media published its fifth volume on January 3rd. 

The manga entered its last arc, “confession,” in Weekly Young Jump magazine’s February 19th issue. Its main story ended today, and the magazine announced the manga is slated to have an epilogue chapter in its 12th and final compiled book volume this April 18th. The “extra special episode” is set following the last chapter of its main story.
