Every now and then, Minecraft creators are releasing new updates or content. A Minecraft update is defined as a bundle of modifications to official Minecraft game clients, which the game’s developer, Mojang Studios, launches periodically. These updates may tweak, add, or remove features such as blocks, items, mechanics, and other entities.

The most recent Minecraft update released by Mojang is the Minecraft 1.20 update. This has since been well-loved and cherished by the fans and gamers. Soon, a new update will be released, the Minecraft 1.21 update. Here is everything PVP Live knows about it.

Overview

The upcoming 1.21 update is, of course, expected to bring exciting new features and changes to the worldwide favorite blocky sandbox game. An official name has yet to be revealed, but early previews of this update indicate that it will showcase combat, exploration, and automation. The following are the things to get excited about in this upcoming update.

New Blocks

Update 1.21 is predicted to introduce several new building blocks centered on copper and tuff variants. One of the highlights will be the copper bulb, a Redstone-controlled light source that just gets dimmer as it oxidizes. There will also be chiseled tuff bricks for a fancier new look.

Plus, there will also be a new crafter block to provide automated crafting abilities. Minecraft gamers can set up hands-free bulk crafting of various items by programming recipes and attaching hoppers. Thus, this paves the way for newer possibilities for large-scale automation of production lines and farms.

New Mobs

How about new mobs? Yes. The highlight here is the Breeze, which is an airy and wind-controlling enemy living in the new procedural dungeons. This mob is capable of leaping around rounds and blasting players with ranged “wind charges.” That said, defeating it requires considerable skill.

Aside from the Breeze, there will also be the armadillo. These timid and passive creatures are to inhabit the savanna and desert biomes, curling into a ball when you get near them. They also drop special shells you can use to build wolf armor, which can grant you more protection and defense. The armadillo at its finest.

Moreover, rumor has it that ducks will also be introduced, though nothing has been confirmed yet about this long-awaited addition as of the time of research. If they come to fruition, these ducks will introduce new egg-laying and swimming behaviors to Minecraft’s passive mobs.

The Trial Chambers, The New Dungeon In The Upcoming Update

As the update begins, players may also come across the Trial Chambers. These procedurally generated dungeons feature booby-trapped halls and rooms containing randomized loot.

At the heart of this maze-link Trial Chamber is the Trial Spawner, touted as the new take on the monster spawner. But be prepared. The Trial Spawner will unleash a slew of enemies to defeat before earning the rewards.

Update 1.22 Release Date

Speculations on the release date or time frame of the Minecraft update 1.21 is sometime in mid-2024. That’s not going to be too long from now.
