Perhaps you have already been asked about a superpower you wish to have. A popular answer would be invisibility. After all, being invisible is one of the coolest things around.

In “Minecraft,” you have the power to turn invisible when you have the Invisibility Potion with you. So, in this guide, you will learn how to make the Invisibility Potion in “Minecraft.” But, first things first, what is this potion all about?

What Is The Potion Of Invisibility In ‘Minecraft’?

The Invisibility Potion in this game is one of its most potent potions. It’s not only in “Harry Potter” where you can get potions, right? “Minecraft’s” Invisibility Potion, obviously, can make a player model disappear.

However, it also has its weaknesses. Mobs can still detect and attack the player model at a very close distance. This range even increases if the player is donning an armor. You will learn more about this later.

What Can The Invisibility Potion Do?

Drinking this potion can make you unseeable to your enemies, but only for a short amount of time. Here is how you can use the Invisibility Potion, depending on your platform.

  • If you are playing “Minecraft” on your PC, right-click and hold.
  • If you are on mobile, tap and hold.
  • For Xbox players, press and hold LT.
  • For PlayStation players, press and hold L2.
  • Press and hold ZL on your Nintendo

  4. Fourth, interact with it to open the three-by-three crafting grid.
  5. It’s now time to craft your Brewing Stand. To do this, use one Blaze Rod in the middle of the top row, followed by three Cobblestones in the second row.
  6. Then, put the Brewing Stand on the ground.
  7. Interact with it to launch the brewing menu.
  8. Afterward, place the Blaze Powder in the upper-left box. This then activates your Brewing Stand.
  9. Add a Potion of Night Vision to one of the boxes in the bottom portion of the brewing menu.
  10. Afterwards, add the Fermented Spider Eye to the brewing menu’s top box.
  11. Wait until the progress bar is full. Once it is, your Potion of Night Vision will now be an Invisibility Potion. You’re done.

Important Things To Note About The Potion Of Invisibility

You have learned earlier that although the Potion of Invisibility is powerful, it has its limitations. Though it makes players invisible from mobs and other players, there are instances when the potion will never work on specific items. The items below will still be visible even if you have consumed the potion.

  • All armors, including horse armors
  • All held items
  • All arrows currently stuck within your character model (though this only applies to Java Edition)
  • A shulker’s head
  • A llama’s carpet decoration
  • A saddle on a tamed animal
  • All mobs or players on fire or emitting any variant of particle effect
  • Some eyes from mobs such as Creepers, Endermen, Phantoms, and Spiders (they will remain seen even if the mob itself is invisible)

More Information About The Invisibility Potion And Its Effects

  • The traditional Invisibility Potion only works for five minutes. Extended carry lasts 10 minutes.
  • Remember, you will become invisible after taking the potion, but mobs can still detect you.
  • Detection rates go up depending on how much armor you wear. Wearing less armor means being less detectable.
  • Invisible players and mobs can still be seen by spectators. They shall show up as “translucent” under this mod.
  • Cats may behave like they can still see you, even if you are invisible.
  • If a mob detects you, it will move toward you and attack you as if they can see you.
  • Invisibility buffs may stack with other anti-detection methods like wearing monster heads or sneaking.
  • When swimming nearby dolphins, an invisible player will not get the Dolphin’s Grace buff.
