Monster Hunter Rise PC Release Date Announced

The Tokyo Game Show, often known as TGS, is now taking place, and Capcom, the game’s creator and publisher, attended to give a lengthy Monster Hunter Spotlight presentation. The 40-minute livestream this morning provided MH fans with additional information on the impending huge Sunbreak expansion, Monster Hunter Stories 2 DLC, and a confirmation on when PC gamers would be able to get their hands on Monster Hunter Rise.

Since Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Rise would be coming to PC at some point, fans have been waiting for an official release date. Not only did Capcom announce when the port will be available, but the developers also discussed the PC version’s special features.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released on PC via Steam on January 12, 2022. All of the important post-launch DLC that Switch users have been digging into since the game’s March debut will be included in the title. With better quality textures, uncapped framerates, improved keyboard/mouse controls, ultrawide display, voice chat, and 4K graphics, PC gamers will be able to enjoy the rich action-RPG experience.

PC players who have yet to try Monster Hunter Rise on Switch may download a free demo on Steam starting October 13, which will allow them to face off against Magnamalo, the game’s flagship monster. But fear not, novice hunters: the demo includes some basic creatures for players to fight against. All 14 weapon types are accessible, as well as various training and lesson choices, much like in the original Switch demo for Rise.

The premium Sunbreak addition will be released concurrently for Switch and PC a few months after the PC edition of Monster Hunter Rise is released. The pricing of the additional content has yet to be announced by Capcom, although it appears to be comparable to Monster Hunter: World’s Iceborne expansion.

There will be a new center area, new locations, new creatures, new gameplay mechanics, and a new set of Master rank tasks to test even the most seasoned hunters. Capcom announced the name of the flagship Elder Dragon for Sunbreak during the Monster Hunter Rise presentation. Also returning is Shogun Ceanataur, who previously debuted in Monster Hunter 2.
