Novatar, a recently announced NFT project, allows users to construct their digital identity in the metaverse while also allowing them to decide when they will age in the virtual world. Until recently, the only thought has been to create avatars to facilitate interactions. This project presents the concept of avatar aging.
The metaverse is a virtual universe where people can communicate, participate in activities, and host events in real-time. Simultaneously, NFTs provide one-of-a-kind ownership of digital assets like music or art. The pandemic and the resulting restrictions on physical interactions have accelerated the popularity of these virtual worlds.
Artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR) are being used to make the virtual experience as realistic as possible. Novatar is one such initiative that aims to create virtual experiences as realistic as possible. It has devised a method for humans to undergo progressive physiological alterations to their physical selves in the metaverse. Continue reading to learn how to utilize Novatar NFTs to mature in the virtual world.
What exactly is the Novatar Project?

The Novatar Project lets you find an avatar or Novatar that resembles you. Or, if you have similar features, you can create a meta-human that resembles yourself. You can also utilize your unique Novatar to represent yourself in social networks and metaverses.
There will be 25,000 Novatars, and each newborn baby will have a unique complexion, race, expression, and characteristics. Each Novatar is an NFT, which means they are blockchain-based and can begin growing as soon as they are minted.
The owner is in charge of minting the infant. And they can start aging the infant whenever they want. The developers have yet to reveal how much the baby avatar would age once the NFT decides to make it an adult.
How will Novatars function?
The first stage is for you to select the baby avatar that you believe best represents your individuality in the virtual world.
Every Novatar newborn is born with nine critical genes that it will carry for the rest of its existence. Six distinct variants are assigned to each gene in the newborn.
You will have the option of becoming an adult or remaining a baby indefinitely. You will have 30 days to make a decision. On the website, the matching “aging” button will be available.
A mature Novatar is given 14 genes, ten of which are required and four of which are optional. Except for the genes responsible for skin, hair, eyes, and brow color, adults have up to 11 variants per gene.
This means that as the baby grows older and matures, some genes will develop. Novatars will show symptoms of maturation into adults, such as the establishment of sexual orientation.
If you choose to raise your Novatar to adulthood, you will be able to witness its genetic development. When these virtual avatars reach adulthood, they will be able to choose from one of five important professions: Doctor, Blogger, Gamer, Astronaut, and Developer.
According to the developers’ whitepaper, the probability of each Novatar carrying the ‘no profession gene’ is 88 percent. If the occupation gene is present, the likelihood of having each profession is as follows:
- Doctor – 3%
- Blogger – 3%
- Gamer – 1%
- Astronaut – 1%
- Developer – 4%
