In just two weeks, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be released, but fans still have a lot of doubts about the remakes. A new Japanese trailer for the games was released online yesterday, highlighting some of the gameplay concepts from Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl that have been shown in earlier trailers, as well as showing off some brand new gameplay footage.
The debut trailer for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl divided many Pokemon enthusiasts. On the one hand, some fans were ecstatic that the Sinnoh remakes were finally here, while on the other hand, some fans were dissatisfied with the game’s art style. Some fans are eagerly anticipating the remakes but have concerns about what will be featured in them.
Unfortunately, even seeing the new trailer for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, some fans may still have those questions. It’s a 5-minute trailer that covers the Sinnoh Gym Leaders, the numerous Pokemon that can be found in the region, and the Underground feature.
During the Underground part, new footage is presented that displays several of the statues that players can use to create their secret stronghold. In addition, new footage shows off some of the regions and Pokemon that can be found underground in the Hideaways.
The trailer is currently only available in Japanese, but it’s possible that an English-language version will be released shortly. With only two weeks to release, the prospects of any more significant gameplay parts or new mechanisms, such as Pokemon Mega Evolutions, being unveiled are slim.
Despite this, many fans are looking forward to the remakes and have already begun assembling their Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl teams. Although it doesn’t appear like any Pokemon Platinum material will be included in the remakes, it appears that the games will include a slew of new features, including Amity Square and apparel, which were showed shown in a separate 30-second clip. The player can be seen entering a clothing store in that trailer. Previously, the trailers only featured a few costumes, so it’s wonderful to see that there’s an extensive range of apparel to choose from now.
It’s unclear whether new footage for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be released. With a release date so close, it’s probable that whatever footage is released will focus on what the remakes have already shown off, rather than introducing major new or returning gameplay concepts. Even if no fresh surprises are introduced, it’s likely that new content in the form of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl DLC will be released later.
