Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl New Photos Show Massive Changes

Pokemon enthusiasts were anxious to learn about the next installment in the franchise in the months leading up to 2021, with many speculations and leaks circulating regarding remakes of the 4th generation titles, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Finally, the accurate remakes of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were presented during a Pokemon Presents webcast in February in honor of Pokemon Day.

Some fans were delighted to see a return to form for the brand with a more faithful-looking 1-to-1 reproduction of the Nintendo DS titles, while others were disappointed. On the other hand, some fans were disappointed, as they had anticipated a thorough makeover of the Sinnoh area. New images from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl appear to reveal graphical improvements in future games.

PokeXperto, a prominent Spanish Pokemon news account, tweeted photos of the 4th generation remakes, as shown in fresh screenshots uploaded on Nintendo’s Japanese eShop page. At Lake Verity, one image comparison appears to show only a slight change in the visuals’ overall color saturation. In contrast, another appears to show significant alterations to the game’s combat screen.

In the second comparison, it appears that while the male protagonist is fighting, he is now portrayed by an entirely different model. The main figure in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl now appears to be significantly smaller than in the first February announcement video.

The colors in the new screenshot appear to be significantly more saturated than they were previously. Furthermore, fans can determine that this is a brand-new snapshot rather than a modified version of an older one since the trainer is fighting a male Shinx rather than a female Shinx, who has blue feet and a shorter tuft of hair.

It’s unknown why such a modification was made; possibly the game’s creator, ILCA, intended to make the main character smaller so that more of the combat screen could be seen. Pokemon enthusiasts, understandably, have had varied reactions to these alterations. Others have voiced dissatisfaction with the modifications, while others have expressed optimism for more graphical improvements in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Many people anticipated the Pokemon remakes to make an appearance during Nintendo’s E3 conference this year, but they didn’t. Consequently, fans are wondering if Pokemon Presents would be revealed soon, revealing additional information about Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as well as Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
