Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of those games that has an extremely expansive open world. It offers so much to players, such as all kinds of areas to explore, random encounters with enemies, along with side content that you don’t want to miss.
The title is so expansive that it’s full of surprises, so much so that even though the game has been out for two years now, players are still finding secrets and Easter eggs while playing.
Red Dead Redemption 2 features a much bigger map compared to Red Dead 1 – approximately four times the size, actually. As such, it doesn’t come as a surprise that it harbors dark secrets. For instance, one fan discovered a dead corpse in Micah’s hideout.
The game and the developers didn’t skimp out on content, so there’s a lot for the players to uncover and encounter while playing the game.
That being said, one player slash YouTuber known as “cad5150” recently discovered a hidden interrogation cutscene in Red Dead Redemption 2. This scene can be triggered during one of the missions you are tasked to do in the game.
In this mission, Arthur Morgan, who is the protagonist, and Charles Smith are responsible for tracking down Josiah Trelawny. In the middle of the mission, the two characters encounter two men who are camping in a nearby forest.
If Arthur decides to shoot and kill one of those men, this will trigger a special cutscene.
Since there is one other guy still alive, Arthur will shoot at the ground very near the man’s feet until he eventually discloses to Arthur what he saw.
This is a very interesting option to have in-game since if you have played Red Dead Redemption 2 before, you’ll know that killing off an NPC or any character that’s not related to your ongoing mission usually leads to failure.
As such, this is why this cutscene is considered to be a part of RDR2’s hidden secrets. In any case, it’s really quite impressive how players are still finding various secrets and Easter eggs in the game years after its launch.
We can really see how much effort and time the developers put into the game given the level of polish and detail it has. Each and every person who played a part in the creation of this game truly deserve a round of applause.
If they’re lucky, more players might be able to find other secrets that haven’t been discovered yet in the game as well as find answers to unsolved mysteries. For instance, there was previously a Tumbleweed mystery that players just didn’t know what to make of. Fortunately, fans were able to figure out the story behind it.
Given the vastness and complexity of the game, we won’t be surprised if more secrets get discovered for many years to come.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is set in 1899 America, during a time when the Wild West era was beginning to end. It’s available to play on multiple platforms such as PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
