Capcom made the best decision when it produced a remake of “Resident Evil 4.” In this game, among the things you can do is to collect some items. The game revives some old collectibles from the original version yet also introduces a mysterious collectible, the Clockwork Castellans. In this guide, PVP Live will show you where to find all the Clockwork Castellans.
What Is A Clockwork Castellan?
Clockwork Castellans are automaton toys owned by Ramon Salazar. Salazar is the Castle region’s leader and its final boss. He is a member of the Los Illuminados – a religious group – and a servant of Lord Osmund Saddler, another antagonist in the game. However, Salazar seems to lead his little cult within the Castle, too.
These toys are scattered all over the Castle, Village, and Island. You can find one hidden Clockwork Castellan in each chapter, totaling 16.
Where To Find All The Clockwork Castellans
Chapter 1: Lakeside Settlement
The first Clockwork Castellan is just past the Farm area. Check the building where the Ganados are hurling dynamite from. You’ll find the toy in the broken roof’s rafters.
Chapter 2: Near The Abandoned Factory
After getting the Hexagonal Emblem from this chapter, you can find the toy in the hut, in precisely the same spot where you’ll encounter the chainsaw man. Turn your gaze in the hut’s corner.
Chapter 3: The Merchant By The Dock
From the merchant nearby the first firing range, jump toward the dock, then proceed to the dead-end corner on your right. The Clockwork Castellan is sitting atop some boxes.
Chapter 4: Forest Altar
In this chapter, the toy is at the Forest Altar. To get here, head to the Northern dock from the Lake, then back to the Lakeside Settlement. Enter the Insignia Key gate at the back to reach the Forest Altar. The Castellan is behind the fence.
Chapter 5: Attic Of The Mayor’s House
The next toy is in the Mayor’s House’s attic, accessible when you get back to the village after rescuing Ashley Graham.
Chapter 6: Checkpoint
Just before you reach the Checkpoint where you encounter the Bella Sisters, you will pass a hut on the left. On your right is a quarry with a bonfire over it. Zoom in on this bonfire to find the Castellan.
Chapter 7: Between The Dungeon And Treasury
The next Castellan is on the upper shelves inside the storeroom between the Dungeon and the Treasury.
Chapter 8: Castle Battlements
The toy is above the first part of the castle battlements. Check the corner around the back area.
Chapter 9: Courtyard
The toy in this chapter can be found in the Courtyard’s northwestern corner, near a First Aid Spray. Be sure to look down in your right corner.
Chapter 10: Depths
The next Clockwork Castellan is here, near where you battle with Verdugo. On your left, you will find the merchant. Further down the hall, the Castellan sits upside-down in one of the pipes to your right.
Chapter 11: Stopover
You can find the toy in the Stopover area, which is between the minecart rides. The toy is in the rafters.
Chapter 12: Clock Tower
Here, the Castellan is beneath the stairs. It’s on top of a box in the corner of the lowest level.
Chapter 13: Between The Lab And Wharf
The toy is under a truck here.
Chapter 14: Campsite
You can find a room after the Amber Storeroom, where Graham gets taken. The Clockwork Castellan is on the lockers there.
Chapter 15: Specimen Storage
Before the Specimen Storage, there’s a side room. You can find the toy here.
Chapter 16: Underground Passage
The 16th Castellan is inside a room in the Underground Passage.
Important Note
Finding all the Clockwork Castellans is easy. But note that some of them are missable. That means you can never return once you leave an area on the map. Thus, if you wish to collect the toys, you must reload a saved game or play the game all over again.
Don’t worry because the Castellans persist across saves in the game. You don’t need to collect everything in a single run. Good luck!
