Every avid gamer of “Resident Evil 4” has already been anticipating the launch of its remake. But as early as now, new revelations and teasers about the game have been unveiled, including SteelBook images, images of the castle, and some story surprises.
SteelBook images
As early as now, fans and gamers can already buy “Resident Evil 4” remake’s gorgeous SteelBook, where they can keep their disc inside.
SteelBooks are typically included as a pre-order bonus or as part of a pricey expensive collector’s edition. Fans who want to own this do not actually have to spend a lot of money.
The SteelBook is sold separately from the game at Best Buy locations for only $9.99. This is a lot cheaper than the one that comes with the Collector’s Edition at $249.99.
Images of the SteelBook are already circulating online. They were first shared on Twitter by netizen @Wario64.
As seen from the images, the SteelBook case has the art of Leon S. Kennedy, Ashley Graham, and a group of villages infected with the Las Plagas parasite.
It is a sharp-looking image that is noticeably different from the one included in the game’s Collector’s Edition, so hardcore “Resident Evil” fans might want to grab both.
The Castle
Aside from the SteelBook, more new “Resident Evil 4” remake images have already been shared over the Internet, including one of the most iconic locations in the game and of the entire survival-horror series by Capcom, the Castle.
Images of the Castle were unveiled on Twitter by @REBHProtal, saying in the caption, “We’re just two months away from the release of Resident Evil 4! Here is some of the art that is being shown as the setting for #RE4. What will happen at this place? I can’t wait for its launch! #ResidentEvil #REBHFun”
Teasers on story surprises
Lastly is on the story. While the upcoming “Resident Evil 4” remake will generally be the same, the story will be slightly tweaked. It has already been made clear by the game’s remake trailers released thus far that the game will go for a more serious, darker tone than the original, but there might also be some surprises.
Reddit netizen Kicka14 pointed out that the PlayStation Store has updated its “Resident Evil 4” remake page to include a very interesting blub teasing about the story surprises.
The new blurb said the remake will feature a “reimagined storyline that may surprise even hardened fans of the original game.”
As for what particularly this “reimagined storyline” is about, fans would have to wait for the launch.
However, fans have already been made aware of some of the game’s story changes. For instance, the dog Leon can save in the original “Resident Evil 4” is deceased in the remake.
Leon’s first encounter with an infected villager at the start also plays out differently. There will certainly be more changes, and fans can do nothing but just tune in.
Moreover, the “Resident Evil 4” remake is also bringing back the island and will have players exploring all the same places as the original. Yet, what happens in those areas and where the plot ends might differ from the original. Then again, it is possible that these story changes will rather be subtle instead of something big of an impact.
The “Resident Evil 4” remake is coming to you this March 24th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
