2 new color options?
Aside from its features and specifications, another thing that buyers are looking forward to concerning new phones is their design, particularly their colors. Apple likes experimenting with various color options for its iPhone offerings. Once, the company revealed at iPhone not just in minimalist Black, White, and Product Red but also Yellow, Blue, and Coral. This gave iPhone users a wide range of choices if they wanted their phones to be flashy and trendy.
This trend went on with Apple offering the standard iPhone models in several color options. If the reports are true, Apple plans to offer two new color options for its upcoming iPhone 15 lineup.
Last February, a report on 9to5Mac, a website that publishes Apple and Mac news, said that iPhone 15 is coming in a new and “exclusive” dark red color option. This news was seconded yesterday when Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, revealed that a new Crimson shade is in the works for iPhone 15 Pro. The report said this new color could be a little bit lighter than the deep purple shade of the iPhone 14 Pro. While the Weibo news isn’t as credible as other leaks for the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup, that same leaker correctly predicted the Deep Purple color option from iPhone 14 Pro last year.
Each year, the Cupertino-based company offers various color options for its iPhone Pro models. iPhone 12 had Pacific Blue, Sierra Blue for iPhone 13 Pro, and the latest iPhone 14 Pro offers Space Black and Deep Purple color options.
The leaker on Weibo also said that the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 units would be offered in Mint color, a color option making a comeback if the rumor is true. This color option is also green, and Apple introduced this with iPhone 11 and 12 in the past. It did not show up for iPhone 13, which was offered in a darker green shade.

Larger batteries?
Aside from new color options for the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup, more rumors are recently circulating about their other features, such as their batteries.
According to an alleged worker at Foxconn, a Taiwanese multinational electronics contract manufacturer, speaking to ITHome, a Chinese news website, the iPhone 15 lineup will feature significantly bigger batteries.
The ITHome news report says that the iPhone 15 will feature an 18 percent larger battery, 14 percent for iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro, and 12 percent larger battery for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The source is not as credible as others, but what they have shared seems accurate, especially since many speculate that the upcoming iPhones will be slightly thicker, which provides more space for these bigger batteries. Plus, with improvements on A16 and 17 Bionic chips, the phones will likely have larger batteries and better battery life.
