“Saturday Night Live,” the late-night sketch comedy variety show bringing laughter to viewers for more than four decades now, is known to parody several political figures, no matter how controversial they may be.

Among them is the funny portrayal and impersonation of Hillary Clinton by comedian and “Barbie” star Kate McKinnon. She got Clinton’s facial expressions and mannerisms, albeit exaggerated.

This time, viewers may see comedian Maya Rudolph once again portraying none other than United States vice-president Kamala Harris, according to her recent “Jimmy Kimmel Live” interview.

“Saturday Night Live” has featured Harris several times, such as Rudolph mimicking her, who was then still a senator, during her debate with former vice-president Mike Pence. McKinnon’s character moderated the debate.

But, as she possibly returns to the sketch comedy show again, it will be crucial, as she will do it at a time when Harris is attempting to clinch the highest position in the United States government.

Harris replaced incumbent president Joe Biden as the official nominee of the Democratic Party after he conceded from the race. She will go against former president Donald Trump.

Rudolph was asked if viewers will see her portraying Harris again soon. She never explicitly confirmed a possible return.

However, she said, “Interesting that you brought this up because no one has asked me. I’ve never experienced something like this in any of the work I’ve done. This has been such a tremendous, exciting time for me that feels so much bigger than me or anything I’ve ever done.”

She added that the minute it was announced Harris was running, she wanted everybody to get ready.

“I mean, I don’t know,” Rudolph said, smiling. “We’ll see!”

Rudolph is a 52-year-old actress whose shows include “Loot,” “Bridesmaids,” “Grown Ups,” “Disenchanted,” and more.

“Saturday Night Live” airs on NBC.
