If you’ve been a part of the gaming community for the last couple of years, you probably know about Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and how its video game adaptation reached a legendary status within the community. In 2014, the game was suddenly removed from the Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Store, which left fans with no other way to play it.
As such, dedicated fans have been asking Ubisoft to bring the game back, and in September of 2020, the developer announced just that. As expected, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World The Game’s cult following was overjoyed by the news, even the series’ creator—Bryan Lee O’Malley—himself.
Ubisoft never really gave an official reason as to why it decided to delist Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World The Game, so news of its return has been a popular topic within the video game community. Now that the game’s release date is almost upon us though, it appears that there’s one last surprise for the dedicated fans.
Namely, Limited Run Games has recently announced that it will be releasing a limited physical edition of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World The Game, perfect for those who truly want to celebrate the title’s return.

The announcement was made by the publisher on its official Twitter account, which revealed that for a limited time only, it will be launching special physical versions of the highly anticipated game. Right now, pre-orders for the special editions are only available for the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 4. Although, Limited Run Games confirms that pre-orders for the Xbox One will be available at some point in the future.
These special physical editions are definitely perfect for avid fans of not only the Scott Pilgrim game but the series as a whole. These editions include a plethora of bonus goodies that you can add to your collection, such as concept art, trading cards, customized drumsticks, a sticker set, a special case, as well as a CD that has all the tracks from Anamanaguchi, among many others.
You can start pre-ordering your physical edition of choice as soon as Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World The Game officially gets released on digital storefronts such as the PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, and Xbox Live Arcade.
All of these additional content is definitely more than we could have ever asked for, and fans of the Scott Pilgrim series are taking this as a chance to celebrate. O’Malley, the aforementioned series creator, had spent quite a long time trying to get the game returned onto digital storefronts. So, we imagine that out of everyone, he’s most likely the happiest one of all.
Those who weren’t able to play the game the first time around should definitely grab this opportunity. We can never be sure if Ubisoft has future plans to delist the game again out of nowhere, so having a physical version of the upcoming title is a great way to ensure that you have a copy of it for the rest of your life.
