Developers of the upcoming DC game “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” are “optimistic” about the game amidst facing widespread criticisms from fans and gamers since it was first announced.

‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” devs are happy about the game

According to the latest episode of the Video Games Chronicle (VGC) podcast, which aired on Spotify, comments have been made internally at Rocksteady Studios, the game developer developing the title, with VGC’s Andy Robinson stating this about the “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League”:

“It’s interesting, because some of the people I’ve spoken to who are working on that game actually have a lot of positive things to say about it, especially compared to Gotham Knights,” Robinson said about the game. “I’ve been told that this is not another Gotham Knights, that everyone who’s working on it is actually quite optimistic about the combat loops they’ve made and the game world and things like that.”

This information about “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice” should potentially give fans hope, mainly since the game has recently had some setbacks. To know that those within Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. are viewing it more optimistically when compared with “Gotham Knights” (which received a lukewarm response from the gans) is something that should encourage many. But still, it isn’t easy to ascertain if this optimism will be the same feeling among fans once the game arrives.

Possible delay in the launch date

Gamers have been negatively responding to “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” with others decrying the live-service elements of the title and commiserating about how long they need to wait for a new Rocksteady title for it to be game as a service title.

Furthermore, there are also concerns about the potential this game has for microtransactions, given the inclusion of the Battle Pass. Still, the optimism from the game’s developers is bringing the balance in the middle of the criticisms.

If you search online, you can see that the release date of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” is this May 26th already. But rumors are saying that it will be pushed back to 2024.

“Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” is an upcoming online action-adventure game from the development of Rocksteady Studios and the publication of Warner Bros. Games. It is the fifth installment in the “Batman: Arkham” series, occurring five years after the events of “Batman: Arkham Knight.” It is also the first in the series not to feature Batman as the main protagonist, but he still appears (thank goodness), voiced by the late Kevin Conroy, in this final performance as Batman.

Based on DC Comics’ “Suicide Squad,” the game revolves around the titular team of super-criminals, assembled by Amanda Waller and sent to Metropolis to stop alien invader Brainiac and save the Justice League team, who he has brainwashed.
