Cosplaying is so big right now that more and more people are getting their hands on this. A portmanteau of “costume play,” cosplaying is an activity – and performance art, too – where participants called “cosplayers’ wear costumes and fashion accessories exactly as pop culture characters wear them.
In doing cosplay, a cosplayer can take inspiration from various pop cultures, such as animes, and even games, too. Yes, you read that right. If you search around (such as on Pinterest, for instance), you’ll find several cosplayers portraying their favorite characters in games. You’ll literally find a lot. But one of the most recent and talked-about cosplays is that of the famous Midnight Exigent Armor in “Destiny 2.” Let’s take a closer look.
Midnight Exigent Armor In ‘Destiny 2’ Gets A Cosplay
Around a week ago, a cosplayer posted their re-creation of the Midnight Exigent Armor armor in “Destiny 2” over their Reddit account, fechtfrau. As you can see from the image of the costume, fechtfrau brought the “Destiny 2” armor to life, accurately depicting all its sharp edges and machine gray that players would look for from the base armor design.
As of this time of writing, the cosplayer confirmed that the entire upper body was complete but admitted that “a proper harnessing system” still needed to be done. Nevertheless, the look is perfect, exactly matches how the armor appears in the game and has gained quite good responses too.
For one, Redditor Kymonkeyboy said this armor is one of their favorites. They commented, “Love this so much!”
Redditors sQueezedhe, sunny559, and sunny559 expressed how “nice” the armor is in the cosplay.
“Thought you were the Arkham Knight at first… I almost used a power winch to trigger a controlled explosion,” another Redditor, StarAugurEtraeus, meanwhile said.

This Midnight Exigent Armor comes specifically from the second expansion of “Destiny 2,” “Warmind,” which saw gamers venturing to Rasputin’s core on Mars to stop the threat of a Hive force.
Itself, this armor set likewise serves as another example of the dueling fantasies and science fiction themes present all over the “Destiny” universe players can freely explore.
Other Cosplays On ‘Destiny 2’
“Destiny 2” seems to be a favorite subject among cosplayers, and this cosplay on the Midnight Exigent Armor isn’t alone. There are more cosplays done previously for the game.
Among the most notable ones would be the Iron Banner Hunter by cosplayer Kirstin (@armoredheartcosplay). In her art, she built an entire suit of armor based on the game’s Iron Banner Hunter design, and it looks fabulous.
Another great “Destiny 2” cosplay is that of Redditor and cosplayer mhepepe, who recreated Cayde-6. There have been several cosplays about Cayde-6, but this has to be one of the best.
The Hunter outfit adorned with the black hood, the black gauntlets, and the rough and tattered clothing are all incredibly detailed. Not just those, but the cosplayer also perfected the blue Exo mask with the matching, glowing eyes.
The game’s Spider’s Associate, Vex Goblin, Fallen Captain, and more were also previously recreated into cosplays.
