Assassin’s Creed Mirage” is an action-adventure game from Ubisoft, the video game publisher whose other popular titles include “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown,” “Far Cry 6,” “Star Wars Outlaws,” and “Just Dance.”

In “Assassin’s Creed Mirage,” you play as Basim Ibn Ishaq, a cunning street rat and thief haunted by his nightmarish visions seeking answers and justice. If you are a fan of Middle Eastern history, this is a game you don’t want to miss.

However, some parts of this game can be challenging. These include stealth-based missions, complex parkour mechanics, intricate puzzles, and engaging in difficult combat scenarios. You need the right strategy, precision, and adaptability to beat these.

Let us here on PVP Live help you conquer those challenges. In this discussion, we’ll teach you tips and tricks you should know before you launch the game, from befriending your eagle and petting a cat.

1. Your Best Friend Is Your Eagle

In “Assassin’s Creed Mirage,” you must unleash your inner animal lover. Like how several main characters in pop media have animals as their partner in crime, your character in this game will have an eagle as your best friend.

By pressing up on the D-pad, you’ll control the eagle named Enkidu. You’ll also be able to highlight keys for doors and chests, as well as secret entrances while controlling Enkidu.

Before doing any type of mission, summon your best friend and survey the area around you. Tag every enemy as much as possible so that you won’t get caught off guard. Informally, it would be best if you also made sure that there’s a better route into the base of the enemy other than the front door. Doing this leads us to the next tip.

2. Remember, You Can’t Fight Your Way To Safety

Learn from those who have played the previous “Assassin’s Creed” games. They will tell you the same thing. You can die in just a few hits and deal minimal damage when you don’t know what to do. The most straightforward way to kill and defeat enemies is through assassination. But you can only perform this if you haven’t been spotted yet. In other words, if you find yourself facing more than two guards, choose to run and hide instead of fighting.

3. Guards Will Hunt And Track You

Like in “GTA” games, you can feel free to commit crimes in “Mirage.” But, as you do, your wanted level goes up. There are three levels here. Each time you move up a level, more guards will hunt and track you.

The easiest way to reduce the chances of guards tracking you is to tear down wanted posters. To find these, tap left on your D-pad. This activates Eagle Vision, highlighting key objects in orange.

4. Scouting? Be In Photo Mode

You can activate the Photo Mode in “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” anytime. To do this, press both thumbsticks on your console. Your Photo Mode can sometimes be Enkidu itself, and once you pick this option, you can get an even broader bird’s-eye view of Baghdad.

The Photo Mode is highly recommended for scouting clues when solving Enigma puzzles. It’s so great that you must try it.

5. The Best Skill Is… Pickpocketing

You’ve learned earlier that you can commit crimes in “Assassin’s Creed Mirage.” Therefore, one of the best skills is pickpocketing. Yes, we’re serious. You can obtain so much when you possess this skill, so be sure to get it as soon as you can.

6. Sell Everything

The inventory capacity in “Mirage” has no limits. But the secret to getting rich in the game is traveling light. As you go loot chests and containers, you can get all sorts of random stuff. They will be designated as trinkets if you don’t need them for crafting. It is advisable that you sell these trinkets at once. To do this, visit a vendor, tab over to the “sell” page, and hold down Square if you’re playing on PlayStation.

7. Invest In Tools Early On

Here’s another tip to sneak past those nasty guards: Invest in tools early on. Basim’s tools are the stars of the show, so it is recommended that you unlock as many as you can and prioritize this. You can unlock one tool for free, so take the opportunity to unlock sleeping darts first. For the others – smoke bombs, throwing knives, blowdart, traps, and noisemakers – you must accumulate six skill points. Investing in these tools is worth it.

8. To Stay Hidden, Stab People

Your character can always run up to the guards and strike them in the middle of Baghdad’s streets, but the best way is to avoid this. Did you know that you can stab and assassinate people even while you’re hidden in a haystack, tent, pile of leaves, or other hiding spots?

Another advantage of stabbing from the shadows is allowing Basim to drag the body into where he’s hiding. This way, he can cover the sin.

9. Complete Contracts

Doing so allows you to obtain skill points, XP, and resources you can use to upgrade gear and valuable tokens for bribing people during missions. Be sure to take part in these missions, as they are lots of fun and even feature their own mini-narratives.

10. Go Ahead And Pet The Cat

Petting the cat in “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” is not only cute but also makes you relax and take a break from all the challenges in the game. Cats were highly valued during the Middle Ages in the Middle East, and they were very well-fed.

“Assassin’s Creed Mirage” is just as maddeningly complex and enigmatic as the previous games in the series. These tips should help you kickstart the game in the right ways.

After you’ve finished everything in “Mirage” and wrapped up the big finale, know that you can still keep playing, collecting things and finishing what you missed at your own pace after the credits.
