Though it is true that “Stardew Valley” is that game which champions patience and going at your own pace, without a guide, it can still be frustrating to figure out which crops you should invest in if you want to make a profit.
Previously, you have learned the best and worst spring season crops in the game. This time, PVP Live will guide you through the best produce to make you serious profits in “Stardew Valley.” We begin with Ancient Fruit.
The Best Crop For Profits: Ancient Fruit
It has been said that there is no crop more versatile and profitable than the Ancient Fruit. Being a multi-seasonal crop, they can be grown during spring, summer, and fall. What’s more, the Ancient Fruit can be re-harvested every week after its initial growth period of 28 days passes.
However, there’s a downside. Ancient Seeds only have a one-percent chance to show up in the Traveling Cart and, believe it or not, even a lower chance of being created from the Seed Maker. Nevertheless, once you have them, you can make huge profits from them in no time.
Sweet Gem Berry
“Stardew Valley” gamers also love the profits they make from Sweet Gem Berries. However, though they are among the most profitable, their Rare Seeds can be challenging to acquire in bulk. Also, they require so much time to build up.
However, with its seed price of 1,000 gold and a sale price of 3,000 gold, calculate that, and you get a profit of a whopping 2,000 gold each month.
And here are a few reminders. Be sure you have a memorized route to the Traveling Cart in the Cindersap Forest since you must return there every Friday and Sunday throughout the spring and summer seasons if you are looking to farm Sweet Gem Berries. Or, you can get a horse if you have the means to invest in it.
Coffee Beans
Coffee Beans have an edge over other crops in “Stardew Valley” since they are multi-seasonal and profitable at that. But they are tough to obtain. For one, Dust Sprites have a notoriously low chance of dropping these crops. If you have the means, you can buy them from the Special or Standard Stock for 2,500 gold or 1,000 gold, respectively.
Difficult to obtain and costly, yes, but you should also know that each Coffee Bean yields a total of four seeds after only 10 days, not to mention they are ready for re-harvesting every two days after that. You can also re-plant them so they grow even more. Or, you can put them into a Keg to make Coffee, which you may also sell for a decent price.
Cranberry
Another accessible and profitable crop is the Cranberry. A single Cranberry can generate 1,101 gold monthly, making it very valuable.
Since their monthly income is calculated assuming you plant it on the first day, you can increase your income if it is already at full maturity.
Profits from them? Sure. They can re-grow and require less work, too, since you don’t need to re-plant them after harvesting them. These are why many “Stardew Valley” gamers grow nothing but Cranberries in their Greenhouses.
Blueberry
While Cranberries are fall-season crops, another profitable crop in the game is the Blueberry, a summer crop. They take only a total of 13 days before they are made ready for harvest. Plus, they re-grow every four days.
Blueberries are ideal crops for those going through their first since each plant can yield three Blueberries already. This lets you easily triple your earnings when compared to the cost of the seeds, and Blueberry plants also have a two percent chance of giving you more once their crops are harvested.
Strawberry
Berry equals profits. Remember that. Another excellent crop for those looking to maximize their profits, and especially ideal for those on their first year in the game, is the Strawberry, a spring season crop. While you cannot plant your Strawberries until the Egg Festival arrives, this crop still is, hands down, a great way to profit early on in “Stardew Valley.”
Here’s the rationale. Strawberry plants only take a total of eight days before you can harvest them. Then, they can be re-harvested every four days. Furthermore, Strawberry plants also give a two percent chance of yielding an additional Strawberry, which, of course, means more earnings.
Grapes
While Grapes are not multi-season crops in the game, once you grow them in their seasons, namely the summer and fall, the results are fantastic.
When grown from Starter seeds during fall, Grapes can be harvested after 10 days and are re-harvestable every three days afterward. During the summer season, Grapes are among the fruits in “Stardew Valley” that are forgeable. Meaning to say, you won’t need to actually plant Grapes just to profit from them.
More Profitable Crops
Other profitable crops you should take a look at in “Stardew Valley” are:
- Starfruit
- Corn
- Hops
- Taro Root
- Pineapple, among others
