The Story Of ‘Oldboy’
The story of “Oldboy” begins with a businessman named Dae-su being arrested by the police exactly on his daughter’s fourth birthday. Then, his friend Joo-hwan picks him up from the police station, and afterward, he realizes he was kidnapped. Later in the movie, while watching TV, he discovers that his wife is being murdered and that he is the prime suspect.
After 15 years of imprisonment, when he came out, Dae-su was hypnotized. Later in the story, when Dae-su enters a French restaurant, he attends on a threatening call. In that space of mind, he forces himself on Mi-do. Because of that incident. Mi-do thought Dae-su was interested in him. After some time, they both reunited, and he was also struggling to find his daughter.
Later in the story, Dae-su finds himself exposed to a wealthy man named Lee Woo-jin, who threatens him about sharing his imprisonment. Otherwise, he would kill him. Dae-su knows a little secret about him having incest with his own sister. Later on, Dae-su discovers Mi-do is his daughter. After encountering that fact, Dae-su died due to profound sadness.
