The rumored release date of the highly anticipated game “The Elder Scrolls VI” is in 2026 or after that year. Obviously, it is still around three years from now or so. But the excitement is already building about what to look forward to in the game.

Those following the game closely say there is a good chance Hammerfell could be the primary setting. With that being said, the Crimson Scars faction could come forward.

The Crimson Scars is an extremely vital faction that gamers might see in the upcoming game. An ancient and mysterious group, this faction is having many long-time fans of the Elder Scrolls franchise thrilled about it.

Let’s understand what this faction is all about.

What Is The Crimson Scars Faction All About?

Are you a fan of everything vampires? Then, you will love the Crimson Scars faction. This faction was a powerful and dominant vampiric organization during the Third and Fourth Eras. Greywyn Blenwyth, Tamriel’s strongest vampire assassin, created and led this group.

Originally, the Crimson Scars split from the Dark Brotherhood (an infamous faction of assassins) and were founded so it could destroy and replace the former as the foremost assassin guild in Tamriel.

Then, the Dark Brotherhood ambushed the Crimson Scars after it had heard about the rebellion, and the Scars were eventually dispersed. The remaining faction members fled with Greywyn and secluded themselves in Blackwood and Weye town.

How This Faction Could Appear In The Upcoming Game

Sure, the Crimson Scars may have significantly lost from the ambush of the Dark Brotherhood, but the best about them is yet to come. It is known that Blenwyth himself managed to survive and attempted to reform the faction from a location known as Deepscorn Hollow.

But, upon receiving another vision from Sithis, which implied no further harm must be done to the Dark Brotherhood, Blenwyth abandoned his attempts, and instead turned into an obsession with curing his vampirism and that of his allies.

Those closely following the franchise say that the faction is worth revisiting in the upcoming game. Originally located in Cyrodiil, it is believed that some surviving members of the Crimson Scars organization could have relocated west toward the neighboring province of Hammerfell in secrecy. With Hammerfell rumored to be featured in “The Elder Scrolls VI,” the faction could also make an appearance.

If they do, they will depict a fascinating and layered power struggle as one of the most fascinating organizations in The Elder Scrolls franchise. Furthermore, the return of Blenwyth is also seen to give justice to what the group has suffered.

Hammerfell is the home of the Redguards and Tamriel’s biggest desert, the Alik’r. Known for its harsh and unforgiving climate, these characteristics reflect its people. Gamers can expect Hammerfell to be part of the upcoming “The Elder Scrolls VI.”

“The Elder Scrolls VI” is an upcoming action role-playing video game with Bethesda Game Studios developing it. This will be the sixth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series.
