With the Pokemon series commemorating its 25th anniversary this week, the franchise continues to broaden its media influence to all kinds of merchandise. With the crossover of Pokemon and fashion already sealed, it comes as no surprise that another brand is excited to join the festivities.
The next clothing brand to welcome all the Pokemon trainers out there is the ever famous Levi’s. The official Twitter account of the brand shared a few forthcoming designs to celebrate Pokemon’s 25th anniversary.
The official revelation on Twitter only provided a glance of what the new collection has to offer, with the rest discovered by Twitter users. In the original tweet, it features a bright green floral print jacket displaying a few familiar Pokemon.

All over the jacket are some of the most popular Pokemon ever known such as Charmander, Squirtle, Psyduck, and Mewtwo. While it might appear to only display Kanto regionals, a Togepi is showing some love from Johto.
Since Levi’s Twitter account was only willing to tease the new clothing line with just a single photo and the simple “COMING SOON” caption, online users have given additional looks at the rest of the collection.
Aside from the already revealed jacket, there will also be jeans featuring a similar pattern. Looking at the design in more detail, Levi’s is certainly focusing on the original Pokemon Red and Greed games in 1996. This similar pattern can also be found on an accompanying bag. The other confirmed design is simpler than the others, with a basic pair of jeans that feature a Pikachu on its right leg.

While there are likely a lot of Pokemon fans ready to wear their love for the brand, some might be disappointed by their price tag. While not officially confirmed by Levi’s, users online have revealed that price listings are jaw-droppingly high. According to PokeJungle, a reputable news source on Twitter, the jeans are anticipated to cost more than $148. There is no indication of the jacket or bag’s price yet, they will likely have a high cost too.
While Pokemon’s reach into fashion is well known by most gamers, the connection of Levi’s as a brand really goes further than just one Nintendo property. Last March 2020, Levi’s hinted at a then-upcoming crossover with Nintendo’s mascot, Mario.
While the Super Mario x Levi’s collection has been delayed because of the global pandemic, it likely helped lead to this forthcoming Pokemon crossover. So for Pokemon fans planning to flaunt their love in comfort, there is a forthcoming and expensive option for them.
