Apex Legends Season 7 was released only last month, and with it came new content for players to supposedly enjoy. However, some players have been noticing some problems with the brand-new map, Olympus, which was introduced in this newest season.
One major problem that players have experienced with this new map is that there’s a certain spot wherein they get stuck and they can’t do anything to free their character. To make matters worse, the players quickly die soon after they get trapped.
The Olympus map may feature some hidden easter eggs that players have been enjoying, but the discovery of this “death spot” has definitely put a damper on the map. To be more specific, the chaos takes place in the Grow Towers, which is one of the locations in Olympus.
Players are usually seen battling it out near this area, with some finding refuge in the curved buildings. However, getting inside these buildings to begin with appears to be a more difficult task than expected — one could even describe it as “deadly.”
One Reddit user with the handle WOAHderWOAHder was recently a victim of the death spot, and they were able to take a video of the exact moment it happened. The clip, which they posted on the Apex Legends Reddit community, begins with the player trying to jump onto the Grow Tower. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to land on the edge of the platform.
However, instead of falling back down or being able to move, WOAHderWOAHder’s character got stuck on the edge of the tower’s curved floor. The player tried pressing different buttons in an attempt to break free, but nothing seemed to work.
As the character flailed about in that one spot, the character began to clip through the curved texture and instead, see the sky below. This is a clear indication that something is wrong and needs to be fixed by the developers.
Since nothing seemed to work for the player, they decided to stop moving but instead, their character instantly died in that spot. WOAHderWOAHder was using Lifeline at that time, but her healing drone could have done nothing at that moment to help. Powerless to do anything, the player’s lifeless character simply crumpled and fell to the ground.

The events that took place were both sudden and confusing, to say the least, and it’s best that Apex Legends players remain cautious if they want to enter the Grow Tower. Many players responded to the Reddit post, voicing out their complaints against the tower as well.
One user, BranislavBGD, commented saying “that first curve that you have to deal with is sooo annoying!” User vomhead said that they found the tower’s design to be “atrocious,” while another user who goes by Mirage_Main commented saying that “the towers themselves cause motion sickness to some” and “mess with depth perception for others.”
Given the fact that Olympus is a floating tower and players can therefore fall off is already difficult in and of itself, and this bug only makes things worse. While a fix for the death spot may not make players like the Grow Tower any more, it’s still necessary that Respawn Entertainment does something about this bug as soon as possible.
