Avatar The Last Airbender has been regarded as a groundbreaking TV show suited for both adults and children, not only for its strong messages but for its competent world-building. The comprehensive world of Avatar has resulted in a request for an open-world video game franchise as well as other mediums for gamers to discover the world around Aang and his friends. Now, a tabletop RPG developed by Magpie Games will make that experience a reality.
ViaComCBS Consumer Products has created a multi-year licensing deal to make a tabletop game set in the world of Avatar The Last Airbender. Though it’s not yet been revealed where in the timeline the game will be set.
Republic City will definitely be in the game, so it might be any time after the conclusion of Avatar The Last Airbender. Similar to Dungeons and Dragons, the playbook will give tools to develop the heroes of the story, who will even be able to travel to the spirit world to save civilians.
