Some of you may only hear about “Sons of the Forest” now, for the first time. But that’s understandable. “Sons of the Forest” is not as grand as other survival video games such as “Resident Evil” and “Valheim,” but many gamers are drawn to playing it.

“Sons of the Forest” is unique among its predecessors in this game franchise partly because of the inclusion of companions. Its gamers who have spent some nights with the howling winds and the other horrors of the cursed island in the game will definitely notice a mutant distinct from the others. She is Virginia. In this article, you will learn more about Virginia, the amazing things she can do, and why you should befriend her.

First, Who Is Virginia?

Well, Virginia, with her full name, Virginia Puffton, is 20 years old, the daughter of Edward and Barbara Puffton. In “Sons of the Forest,” she is a non-playable character. Alongside Kelvin, she is one of the two known companions in this game. But, unlike Kelvin, she is initially wary of you, so she must gradually be befriended to receive similar treatment. She also has a passion for ballet.

Things That Virginia Can Do

1. She Can Help You Spot Enemies

Almost like Kelvin, Virginia is somewhat mute, presumably because of the torturous experiments done on her. That said, she can only produce noises but cannot properly communicate. But since she can spend some time with you around the location in the game, she can spot and point out whenever cannibals are approaching or lurking in the trees. If there are, Virginia will start moaning to attract your attention.

2. Fighting Cannibals Is Her Greatest Asset

Virginia doesn’t just spot cannibals; she also does fight them, and perhaps this is her greatest asset. Expected because she has this thirst for vengeance. She will do everything, albeit cold-blooded efforts, to defend the player’s territory. She can blow apart mutants with a shotgun and shoot cannibals in their heads with a pistol, even from a faraway distance. Thus, you can utilize Virginia as a mobile base-defense, patrolling the grounds and ensuring all enemies will be appropriately dealt with.

3. She Can Bring You Offerings

Virginia isn’t only of great help when fighting enemies but also in other things. Unlike Kelvin, whom you must give commands through a notepad, this female mutant has lived on the island for quite some time. So, she is self-sufficient. She is willing to lend a helping hand, such as giving you fish if you are hungry, sticks if you are building something, and aloe vera if you get injured. Aloe vera? That’s sophisticated.

4. Finally, She Can Show Points Of Interest

Also, Virginia will give you that beckoning to be followed. It is normal to feel some apprehension to do so because of her body structure and her inability to speak, but doing so will be extremely helpful. She can lead you to points of interest nearby, such as old sites or encampments with several valuable tools and resources. She is also a music lover, too. She can jam with the music if a nearby radio is playing songs.

It’s A Good Choice To Befriend Virginia

True. You may find her physicality weird. She’s got three arms, has no toes, and her feet are fused in the form of ballet slippers. It’s not a mistake in the game’s development. We hope so. But she’s extraordinary. That said, you should do everything to befriend her in “Sons of the Forest.” You will never regret it.
