Playing “The Sims 4” can be downright addictive. Nothing could perhaps be more fun than the idea of simulating real life in a game – getting pregnant, building your own house, jumpstarting your career, starting your own family, and more. All these are possible in “The Sims.”
But if you want to pump up your simulation gaming experience, you might want to participate in “challenges.” Exciting and could add some spice to your gaming, these challenges will change how you play. Here are some of the best.
Most Interesting Challenges In ‘The Sims 4’
1. The Alien Adoption Challenge
Raising a baby in “The Sims 4” is fun and fulfilling. But what if you can grow your own alien baby? Like literally. Feel like it’s “Star Wars” all of a sudden? Read on.
Thanks to this challenge, you can take in an alien toddler following the crashing of its ship and start raising it as if it were your own species. Feel like you are the mother to Superman, who is, well, technically, an alien.
2. Bachelor/Bachelorette Challenge
If you love watching “The Bachelor” or “The Bachelorette” show, know that you can apply some of its mechanics in “The Sims 4.” In this challenge, you make just about anybody a bachelor or bachelorette looking for love. The exciting part: you must use the Romantic trait. Sounds tricky? That makes it thrilling!
Once you make the contestants for your Sim, you’ll be ready to launch this challenge. After you go on various dates with each of your Sim contestants, you must then decide who to eliminate as a potential love interest every three days.
3. Rags-To-Riches Challenge
Remember those rags-to-riches stories of people that can make you cry? They are inspiring, yes, and you can create your own rags-to-riches story when you accept this “The Sims 4” challenge.
Like every “GTA” gameplay, without the crimes, of course, this challenge starts with you having nothing in the game and working your best to have it all eventually. You begin with no home, just some land and nothing under your name – properties or money. Yes, this may take a long time, as earning Sims money can be difficult in itself, but it can add some oomph to your gaming.
4. Legacy Challenge
This challenge, meanwhile, is all about building an empire but for your family. Beginning with a “founder,” this Sim of yours will then build a life and wealth for their family from scratch. The start is like the Rags-to-Riches challenge, except that you are doing this for your family, not just yourself.
Once you accept this challenge, you must play through 10 generations of your family. Complete everything before the 10th child is born. And once the original “founder” dies, all the responsibilities fall into their offspring, and so on. A real tear-jerker? It is.
5. Off The Grid Challenge
As the name implies, the goal of this challenge in “The Sims 4” is to live off the grid. That means intentionally cutting off your water and electricity supply. Expect to face the problems that will obviously arise. It is tricky, yes, but this challenge can turn boring gameplay into an exciting one.
6. 100 Baby Challenge
By the end of this challenge, you’ll most likely be ever more familiar and have mastered the Infants life stage in “The Sims 4.”
In this challenge, your Sim is called “the matriarch.” The twist here in this challenge resides in seeing how fast you can get your Sim to have as many babies as possible, thus the challenge’s name.
7. Zodiac Challenge
If you love reading the horoscope and do not mind playing the game harder, then you must accept this challenge. Right here, we will tell you that this challenge is relatively more complex than the others. Here, you must create a family tree with each of the 12 zodiac signs in it.
For instance, if you choose to give your Sim the “Aquarius sign,” you must give them traits that follow the traits of the Aquarius according to astrology. You also need to find somebody you can have children with who has the traits that follow the sign’s compatibility. Tough, right? But it’s worth your effort.
8. Dumpster Challenge
Here, you will forever be living in rags. It’s the stinkiest challenge in “The Sims 4,” but never the dullest. Start a new game and intentionally live in a dumpster with zero wealth. What you must eat and own must come from other Sims and the stuff they chuck away. To add more, you are not allowed to take a shower.
9. Black Widow Challenge
If you are familiar with the song from the popular Broadway musical “Chicago,” “Cell Block Tango,” you know it tells about women who murdered their spouses. You can get a feel of this as you accept the Black Widow challenge in “The Sims.
Basically, it works this way. You marry several times only to kill your spouses. Track your murders by keeping their tombstones on the lot. Compared to the other challenges, this is a bit simple. Everything begins with a happy marriage that soon spins into a web of cheating and killing.
