Avid fans will love this new update about the “Resident Evil 4” remake. There are enemies cut from the original version of the game that will be in the remake, at least according to some tweets.
The “Resident Evil 4” remake appears to be including new enemies based on cut concepts from the game’s original version, such as the “Female Zealot” and the goat-head-wearing villager.
As shared by @AestheticGamer1 on Twitter, the remake of “Resident Evil 4” seemingly adds new enemies based on cut concepts from the original game’s development. The Twitter netizen shared a post by another netizen on the platform, @misssnugglebutt, who shared images of the enemies speculated to be in the remake.
The first is the “Female Zealot,” a cloaked enemy who appeared in the last trailer of the remade game, but for now, this enemy is based on concept art.
Another concept art is that of the enemy, the “Minitour.” An image shared by @AestheticGamer1 on Twitter shows a villager wearing a goat head as a mask. This is taken directly from the original game’s concept art.
“There’s two new enemies in RE:4 that we know of so far (the “Minitour” enemy & the female Zealot we saw in the last trailer), both of who are actually just realizations of scrapped RE4 enemies. Definitely showing they’re using scrapped RE4 concepts for the remake,” @AestheticGamer1 stated.
So far, the tweet only specified two examples, but these are enough of a pattern to suggest there might be more enemies from the original game to be included in the remake. We might get to see even more.
Another enemy fans are looking forward to seeing in the “Resident Evil 4” remake is the “Hook Man,” a man with a hook who appeared in the E3 2003 demo for the game. Back then, “Resident Evil 4” had this goal of having more psychological elements, including the Hook Man appearing to climb out of a painting and chase Leon S. Kennedy.
However, there is still no certainty if the “Hook Man” will appear in the game’s remake, unlike the other two enemies speculated, but fans can always hope.
The “Resident Evil 4” remake releases this March 24th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
“Survival is just the beginning,” said “Resident Evil” on its official website about the upcoming game. “Resident Evil 4 is a remake of the 2005 original Resident Evil 4. Reimagined for 2023 to bring state-of-the-art survival horror. Resident Evil 4 preserves the essence of the original game, while introducing modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics to make this the latest survival horror game where life and death, terror and catharsis intersect.”
