Fall Guys has added many themes in its following seasons since its formal debut last year, including moving the battle royale’s game show obstacle courses to space and the Middle Ages. Now, Mediatonic has announced that Fall Guys Season 5 will be set in the jungle, indicating that the title is getting ready to move locations once more.
The information was revealed via a mysterious community puzzle dubbed “Big Jigsawus” that Mediatonic published on the official Fall Guys Twitter account earlier today. The puzzle was solved in only 1 hour and 12 minutes, giving players a first glimpse at the game’s new jungle theme as well as some interesting costumes to collect throughout the forthcoming season.
Although a release date for the new Fall Guys material has yet to be set, Season 4 is set to finish on July 20, so fans shouldn’t have to wait too long. Taking into consideration prior seasons, it’ll almost certainly have new courses to tackle, with the poster hinting that the levels would include gigantic, swinging mallets and a massive pink rhino.
In terms of new cosmetics, a jungle explorer suit, a pirate skin, a llama in an adventurer’s cap, and a character draped in different jewels and valuables look to be among them. The image teases plenty more interesting skins and courses to follow, so the subject has a lot of potential.
Fall Guys has seen different levels and features introduced in previous seasons, with the space-themed Season 4 introducing a Basketball-themed stage, an obstacle course called Skyline Stumble, and a seesaw map variant called Big Shots. It also included a number of skins, ranging from unique alien appearances to a range of 80s-inspired ensembles.
Along with these themed costumes, there were other skins based on Tron’s protagonists, Cuphead and Mugman, Among Us’ crewmates, Shovel Knight, and more. Season 5 appears to be no exception when it comes to tie-in material, with a new leak indicating that Mediatonic would be releasing LittleBigPlanet, Astrobot, and Ratchet and Clank skins in the near future.
Aside from the entertaining cosmetics, Fall Guys has made a number of significant announcements in 2021, including the revelation that the game will be coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch later this year. The ports were supposed to be released this summer, but they’ve been postponed, with Mediatonic moving them back to 2021.
