We are not fooling you when we say that fans worldwide are already excited about tomorrow’s pilot episode of “Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku.” 

Fans are hyped

Over at Facebook, fans are expressing their excitement for the pilot of this manga-based anime. 

“Mappa’s new anime, Hell’s Paradise is [releasing soon] and it might snatch anime of the year title too! (emoji),” posted Facebook user Mohd Arshil, alongside a photo post saying “Hell’s Paradise” might become “Anime of the Year.” “Alongside JuJutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, these 3 series were called the “DARK TRIO” of Shonen Jump. It’s an action-packed anime with a captivating plot about a ninja assassin searching for a legendary elixir. The series combines fantasy, horror, and adventure, and it’s filled with well-developed characters you’ll love.”

On the other hand, Yeasir Arafat also posted on Facebook, “(emojis) Welcome to Hell’s Paradise! (emojis) Brace yourself for a journey of blood, betrayal, and redemption. (emojis)”

Over on Twitter, more fans are also sharing their sentiments.

Meanwhile, Anime News Network, an anime news website, is even beefing up the excitement for the new series, tweeting, “A new anime season is in the air!”

Anime News Network also said they are launching today with an early preview of “Hell’s Paradise” Episode 1. 

Fans are also sharing memes that showcase their excitement, such as this meme with a photo of an animated guy with tears and a speech bubble that says, “Peak fiction.”

Apparently, the excitement is worldwide. Twitter netizen @pyrrhidiuuum tweeted in French, saying, “Je vais regarder Hell’s Paradise aussi alors vu que tout le monde veut voir (I’m going to watch Hell’s Paradise too so since everyone wants to see)”

What we know so far about ‘Hell’s Paradise’

“Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku” is based on a popular manga written and illustrated by Yuji Kaku.  Set in the Edo period of Japan, an era when the Tokugawa shogunate ruled the country, it follows the ninja Gabimaru and the executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri as they search for the elixir of immortality.

The cast members include Chiaki Kobayashi as Gabimaru, Yumiri Hanamori as Sagiri Yamada Asaemon, Ryohei Kimura as Chobei Aza, and Kensho Ono as Toma Yamada Asaemon. 

Also part of the cast are Rie Takahashi as Yuzuriha, Aoi Ichikawa as Fuchi Yamada Asaemon, Tetsu Inada as Gantetsusai Tamiya, Yamashita Daiki as Senta Yamada Asaemon, Koichi Makoto as Nurugai, Kobayashi Chikahiro as Shion Yamada Asaemon, and Kobayashi Yuusuke as Tenza Yamada Asaemon.

“Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku” is being helmed by Studio MAPPA, known for other groundbreaking animes such as “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Attack on Titan,” among many others. Directing the series is Kaori Makita, who has also been an episode director for “Attack on Titan” and “Yuri on Ice.”

The anime will be released on Crunchyroll, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix. 

Yes, “Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku” is releasing tomorrow, April 1st, and we are not fooling you.
