The team behind the second season of the hit television anime “Vinland Saga,” based on the manga by Makoto Yukimura, today unveiled two trailers for the show’s second cours (quarter of the year). 

The first video reveals and previews the new opening theme song, “Paradox,” performed by Survive Said the Prophet. This rock band also previously performed a theme song for the first season of “Vinland Saga.”  

Then, the second video unveils and previews the new ending theme song, “Ember,” performed by “haju:harmonics.”

The “Vinland Saga” production team also revealed a preview video for the 13th episode of its Season 2. 

“Vinland Saga” focuses on the story of Thorfinn, who pursues his journey with his father’s killer to take revenge and end his life in a duel as an honorable warrior and pay his father homage.

“Vinland Saga” Season 2 continues to follow the young Viking who has recently started a new life after his previous revenge plot was foiled. Currently, in the season, he is a slave to a man named Ketil on his farm. Here, he meets another young man named Einar. 

The cast of the second season of this anime includes Kenichirō Matsuda as the Narrator, Yūto Uemura as Thorfinn, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Einar, Kenshō Ono as Canute, Fuminori Komatsu as the Snake, Shinya Takahashi as the Fox, Hiroki Gotō as the Badger, Mayumi Sako as Arnheid, Yu Hayashi as Olmar, Taiten Kusunoki as Thorgil, Akio Ōtsuka as Thorkell, and so much more. They join other actors who are providing voices for the anime in English.

The staff from the first season is returning for the second season. Instead of Wit Studio, MAPPA is the animation studio in charge of the production, while Shuhei Yabuta is the director. Kenta Ihara and Hiroshi Seko write the screenplay, while the character design is by Takahiko Abiru.

The art directors are Yūsuke Takeda, Kentaro Ohnuki, and Izumi Hirabayashi. The music is by Yutaka Yamada. Hiroki Kawashita is the director of photography. They join other production team members to ensure this anime series is well-presented. 

The anime’s second season premiered last January 9th on BS11, Tokyo MX, and Gifu Broadcasting. It is streaming in Japan via Netflix and other streaming platforms. Netflix is also streaming “Vinland Saga” worldwide except in China, while Crunchyroll is streaming the season worldwide except in Asia. Crunchyroll also streams the season with English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, and French dubs. The anime’s first season premiered last July 2019.
