The ESA wrapped up E3 2021 with an award presentation highlighting some of the finest events from the event, including the most anticipated game award, which was given to Forza Horizon 5 quite surprisingly. There were a few notable exceptions to the award presentation, such as Elden Ring, which was left out because it wasn’t officially at E3 2021.
Elden Ring debuted during Summer Game Fest shortly before E3 2021, causing a stir online because many had expected it to debut during the Xbox showcase, which was first announced in 2019. Even without From Software’s highly anticipated title, there were still huge games at E3 2021, and many of them were noticed, as they helped dominate the show’s conversation for many days. Breath of the Wild 2 was one of these games, which was shown earlier in the afternoon on the penultimate day of E3 2021.
The ESA conducted an E3 2021 award event to cap off a week of gaming by presenting awards to the different presentations from the previous week. Each presentation with more than one game presented was eligible for the awards, which were voted on by media sources such as IGN.
Halo Infinite, Breath of the Wild 2, and Forza Horizon 5 were among the highlights. Xbox was clearly the most well-received contender, which isn’t surprising considering the company’s huge E3 2021 display. The complete list of awards may be seen below.
Along with industry heavyweights like Halo Infinite, a number of fantastic indies were clearly accorded some love. Even though it looks amazing, Forza Horizon 5 is the most anticipated game from the E3 2021 event, especially considering Halo Infinite was the most anticipated game from the Xbox showcase.
The judges’ hearts were clearly grabbed by the elegance of Playground Games’ racer. The commentators speculated that the vote was split between Halo Infinite and Breath of the Wild 2, contributing to Forza’s triumph.
Despite the fact that certain notable titles, such as Hogwarts Legacy, were absent from E3 2021, there were still a handful of gorgeous games that wowed gamers worldwide. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was undoubtedly one of the biggest shocks at E3 2021, helping to fill up an already jam-packed October release schedule. The year 2021 is already jam-packed with games, and when the industry rebounds from the epidemic, 2022 will probably be even greater.
