Back in June, Hello Games released a trailer for their game The Last Campfire and we didn’t hear anything again about it again — until today, that is. Unsurprising, though, since Hello Games is always so full of surprises. The Last Campfire has officially been launched today for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Apple Arcade.
You play as Ember, an adorable creature who is simply trying to find its way home amidst the confusing yet beautiful world the game is set in. However, it’s worth noting that you shouldn’t expect the game to be developed the same way as No Man’s Sky. This is because only a few developers from Hello Games worked on The Last Campfire.
Some of the game’s key features include:
Travel deeper into the lands beyond the dark forest and overcome the adversities before you.
Discover beautiful wilderness filled with lost folk, strange creatures and mysterious ruins.
Find hope and carry it with you on your Journey to light The Last Campfire.
That being said, the game’s Steam page states that it will be released sometime in 2021. We don’t know the reason for this exclusivity, but for now, you can get the game on the Epic Games Store for $5.99.
