You are familiar with the term “hierarchy of needs” because you learned about it in school. American psychologist Abraham Maslow concocted the concept of the “Hierarchy of Needs,” a motivational theory in psychology laid out as a pyramid with five levels: physiological, safety, love and belonging, esteem, and self-actualization, arranged according to which must be fulfilled first.

In the popular game “Destiny 2,” “hierarchy of needs” is actually the name of a weapon. Take a look at the Hierarchy of Needs Catalyst in this game and how you can get it.

What Can The Catalyst Do?

The Hierarchy of Needs is among the most interesting Exotics in “Destiny 2.” Its primary Exotic perk is known as Guidance Ring, which provides you with precision hits and typically kills the coveted Guidance Ring energy.

Getting all six stacks of the Guidance Ring allows you to hip-fire the bow to create a Ring mid-air. Second, there’s the Apollonic Tangent perk that causes arrows you fire via the Guidance Ring to release seeking projectiles and cause damage based on the distance of travel.

If you’re lucky enough to obtain the Hierarchy of Needs on your first run, you’ll realize it is potent, especially in activities where targets tend to live longer and, thus, more challenging to topple. It’s not easy to use, but can be helpful once you’ve mastered it.

With the Hierarchy of Needs Catalyst, the weapon gets better as the Catalyst helps decrease the draw time, thanks to the Protocol: Emergency Scramble perk. Use this with the Apollonic Tangent perk, and you can deploy the Guidance Ring or striking targets to improve both draw time and reload speeds, albeit moderately.

However, note that there’s a con, and that’s its draw speed. Nevertheless, you can utilize its perk to fire even more buffed-up arrows. Just be sure to do so before the expiration of the Guidance Ring.

How To Get The Catalyst

Before you can get the Catalyst, you must own the Hierarchy of Needs first. It’s a possible drop after you’ve accomplished the Spire of the Watcher dungeon.

That means you should first complete the last encounter in the dungeon. It’s a matter of luck on whether it will drop, so keep your fingers crossed. With extra work, you can increase the chances of acquiring the weapon.

Now, for the main event. You must follow detailed steps to get the Catalyst. Start at the Spire of the Watcher dungeon, where you can find the Catalyst for the Exotic bow.

Once unlocked, the Catalyst can reduce the bow’s draw time and reload speed for a “moderate duration” when releasing a Guidance Ring or striking an opponent.

Again, unlocking the Catalyst requires you to have the weapon itself, but it doesn’t end there. Once you have the bow, you must complete Spire of the Watcher not just in any difficulty range but on Master difficulty.

From here on, you’ll face Overload Champions, such as Conduit Minotaurs, as well as opponents bearing more resistant shields due to the Match Game modifier. Pro tip: bring in Arbalest or any Adaptive Ammunitions-equipped or element-matching weapons.

What a challenge, right? Also, the Catalyst in the Triumphs page is only accessible to those who own the base weapon, and while the rewards fluctuate, it’s a guaranteed prize for your first Master completion.

Getting the Hierarchy of Needs Catalyst in “Destiny 2” isn’t as difficult as it sounds, is it? Good luck!
