The 10 Must-Have Pokémons On Your Team In ‘Scarlet And Violet’

0

Do not get overwhelmed, but here’s a fun fact about “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.” In the Paldea region, where most of the pocket monsters are, there are already 400 of them. In the expanded Kitakami area, there are around 200 more. These are exclusive of the 120 new Pokémons introduced in the game.

So, if you’re going to look at it, you have plenty of choices regarding the Pokémons you can have by your side. However, there’s a consensus from “Scarlet and Violet” avid gamers who say that there are only 10 Pokémons that must be on your team. Get to know them!

1. Arcanine

First and foremost, you must have Arcanine. This is the Pokémon that shouldn’t be away from your team, ever. This Fire-type pocket monster evolves from Growlithe with a Fire Stone and is part of the Field Egg Group. Here are its capabilities:

  • Intimidate – Lowers the opponent’s Attack by a stage.
  • Flash Fire – Increases the damage from Fire-type moves by 50 percent and also immunizes you to Fire-type attacks.
  • Justified – A hidden move that increases your Attack whenever you get hit by Dark-type moves.

2. Roaring Moon (Paradox Salamence)

Roaring Moon (Paradox Salamence) is a Dragon-/Dark-type Paradox Pokémon in “Scarlet and Violet.” It has no evolutions and is part of the Undiscovered Egg Group. Here are its movesets:

  • Protosynthesis: Provided that Harsh Sunlight is active or you have Booster Energy, the highest stat of this pocket monster accelerates by 30 percent if the stat is Defense, Attack, Special Defense, or Special Attack, or 50 percent if the stat is Speed.

3. Wo-Chien

Wo-Chien sounds Chinese, it is Chinese. This adorable Pokémon is a Dark-/Grass-type pocket monster who is a member of The Four Treasures of Ruin in this role-playing game. It also has no evolutions and is part of the Undiscovered Egg Group. Here is its capability:

  • Tablets of Ruin: This move lowers the Attack stat of all opponents in the field by 25 percent. It doesn’t stack and also grants immunity to opposing Tablets of Ruin powers.

4. Dondozo

Fourth is Dondozo. Though it also has no evolutions, this Water-type creature, part of the Water 2 Egg Group, is very potent. Its movesets are outlined next:

  • Unaware: Ignores the opponent’s stat changes whenever attacking.
  • Oblivious: With this, you can’t be infatuated, taunted, or intimidated whatsoever.
  • Water Veil: You cannot get burned.

5. Goodra

She’s beautiful, she’s sleek, and pretty strong, too. Goodra is a Dragon-type Pokémon in “Scarlet and Violet,” which evolves from Sliggoo if it finds itself in overworld rain or fog. Another of its evolution, Goomy, is part of the Dragon Egg Group. Find out its capabilities here:

  • Hydration: Your heal status conditions whenever raining.
  • Sap Sipper: Aside from increasing your Attack by a stage if you get hit with a move from a Grass-type Pokémon, you also won’t take any damage from Grass-type attacks with this move.
  • Gooey: A hidden move that lowers your opponent’s Speed by a stage.

6. Iron Bundle (Paradox Delibird)

It’s not the most perfectly designed Pokémon, but Iron Bundle (Paradox Delibird) should you be part of your league. This Ice- and Water-type Paradox Pokémon has no evolutions, belonging to the Undiscovered Egg Group. Learn about its movesets here:

  • Quark Drive: If your Electric Terrain is active or if it holds Booster Energy, Iron Bundle’s stat gets boosted by 30 percent, provided that the stat is Defense, Attack, Special Defense, or Special Attack, then 50 percent if the stat falls under Speed.

7. Flutter Mane

Also part of the Undiscovered Egg Group, Flutter Mane is a Ghost-/Fairy-type Paradox Pokémon, but without evolutions. Get to know its capabilities below:

  • Protosynthesis: Flutter Mane is also capable of Protosynthesis. Its highest stat is boosted by 30 percent if Harsh Sunlight is active or it is holding Booster Energy, as well as if the stat is Attack, Defense, Special Attack, or Special Defense. If the stat is Speed, you get a 50 percent boost.

8. Gholdengo

This Ghost- and Steel-type Pokémon in “Scarlet and Violet” evolves from its Chest or Roaming Form Gimmighoul once leveled up. It is part of the Undiscovered Egg Group, too. Here are its movesets:

  • Good as Gold: Can it not be more creative than that? This ability immunizes the creature from various moves.

9. Iron Leaves

A Pokémon whose appearance will remind you of the Patronus in “Harry Potter,” Iron Leaves has to, as it is a Paradox Pokémon part of the Undiscovered Egg Group, but weak to Bug-type moves. That’s why it’s at number nine here. Learn about its capabilities below:

  • Quark Drive: Quark Drive is back, and this time for Iron Leaves. Similarly, if you have Electric Terrain active, otherwise it’s holding Booster Energy, the highest stat of the Pokémon wielding this move gets a boost by 30 percent, considering that the stat is Defense, Attack, Special Defense, or Special Attack. If the stat is Speed, you get a 50 percent boost.

10. Walking Wake

Walking Wake also illuminates. A relatively new Pokémon in the game, it is also a Paradox pocket monster. Here are its movesets:

  • Protosynthesis: Likewise, its highest stat gets around a 30 percent boost if Harsh Sunlight is active or it is holding Booster Energy, as well as if the stat is Attack, Defense, Special Attack, or Special Defense. Should the stat be Speed, you get a 50 percent boost.

As you can see, most of the Pokémons on this list do not have evolutions. Take this as an advantage because if your Pokémon evolves, generally, the player should go back to square one, as there will be new movesets and attacks. Enjoy “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet” now on Nintendo Switch.

PlayStation Plus Extra And Premium: November’s Best Local Co-Op And Split-Screen Games

0

You’re almost saying goodbye to November and saying hello to December, the Christmas celebrations getting closer and closer. On PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, they are on the full scale for Thanksgiving 2024. Let’s zoom in this time to local co-op and split-screen games and find out what’s in store for you this month. Co-op and split-screen games are video games you can play with family and friends.

‘Overcooked! All You Can Eat!’

This game never spoils. In the co-op version of “Overcooked! All You Can Eat!,” you will get to enjoy hundreds of levels of cooking chaos with your playmates across increasingly dangerous and obscure kitchens. But, fun, nonetheless, never scary.

It’s the hottest co-op game because it’s mostly co-op. In this mode, you control various chefs in kitchens filled with hazards and obstacles, hurdling your strategies to prepare meals to specific orders from the crowd until a time limit. Think of “Diner Dash,” but never cheap.

‘TimeSplitters’

Yes, this game is part of a trilogy, and every game in the series is accessible on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. This first-person shooter video game series is touted as the spiritual successor to “GoldenEye 007” and “Perfect Dark” of Nintendo 64, sharing design, development, and gameplay elements. Each game in the series features a time-traveling element wherein you battle across a diverse set of locations and periods in history.

‘Tales Of Symphonia Remastered’ And ‘Tales Of Vesperia: Definitive Edition’

It’s not just “Tales of Symphonia Remastered” and “Tales of Vesperia” but the games in their Definitive Editions. “Tales of Symphonia” is an action role-playing game in Sylvarant, a fictional world where Lloyd Irving is. Irving accompanies his childhood buddy, Colette Brunel, who is destined to take on a journey to save the world. As they take on adventures, they discover that saving Sylvarant endangers Tethe’alla, a world parallel to their own. The game’s theme, “RPG that resonates with you,” reverberates in every corner.

Meanwhile, “Vesperia,” which obviously is from the same developer, is also an action RPG with gameplay similar to “Symphonia” and the previous games in the series. The new feature being the trademark action-based “Linear Motion Battle System,” which introduces new elements like online leaderboards.

The setting is Terca Lumireis, a place that harnesses an energy source known as aer, related by devices known as Blastia. The Blastia have magic powers, such as creating protective barriers around their cities. The main character here is Yuri Lowell, a former Imperial soldier who establishes a guild, the Brave Vesperia, to help a noblewoman, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, who he encounters while on a mission. As they traverse the world, factions with ulterior motives challenge the Brave Vesperia, and Lowell must confront his friend and ex-comrade, now his rival, Flynn Scifo. With those plots, you won’t want to miss these games.

‘Cult Of The Lamb’

Talk about an award-winning game, and you will have “Cult of the Lamb.” This roguelike video game from indie developer Massive Monster follows a lamb saved from death by “The One Who Waits,” the name of a god-like stranger. Now, the lamb must repay the goodness done to them by creating a loyal cult in its name. Will the lamb succeed? The story is so quirky that it received positive reviews from critics and gamers upon release. It even got three nominations at the 19th British Academy Games Awards, including a nomination for the Best Game award. Now, that’s comparable to an Oscars feat.

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge’

A beat ‘em up game that features the iconic “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” in the world of animation and cartoons, “Shredder’s Revenge” by Tribute Games and Dotemu takes inspiration and cue from the 1987 “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” animated series (what else?) with the gameplay and style borrowing from the arcade and home console game versions of “Turtles” by Konami, which ran from the 1980s to the 1990s. The story follows the Turtles as they set out to stop Shredder and Krang from taking over New York City while battling with foes along the way.

‘Sackboy: A Big Adventure’

As you can see, your favorite titles and the biggest games are not on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, so the more low-key titles like this overshadow them. But that’s perfectly alright, as the fun isn’t subpar. In “Sackboy: A Big Adventure,” you get to follow Sackboy, the main character, in a world built with three-dimensional platforming. It’s not a game you’d want to spend countless hours with, but it’s a great game when you need to take a moment before playing your big games again.

‘Dragon’s Crown Pro’

Next on the list is “Dragon’s Crown Pro.” First, “Dragon’s Crown” is an action RPG from 2013 where you navigate environments from a side-scrolling point-of-view, selecting from six character classes to battle in the style of beat ‘em up, just like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” from earlier, and obtaining loot through repeated dungeon exploration. It has a storyline that follows adventurers as they journey across Hydeland and take on quests to look for the magical Dragon’s Crown. The Pro version features refined artwork and 4K compatibilities, allowing you to explore dungeons and fight dragons at a level so spellbinding you won’t let this game go.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium are paid subscription plans that offer gamers access to a wide range of games, online multiplayer, and more benefits, such as the perks from the Essential plan, access to the Game Catalog with hundreds of games waiting to be downloaded, and new PS5 and PS5 games every month with Plus Extra, as well as all benefits from Extra, with access to titles from PS 1 to PS3, streams of select PS5 titles from the Game Catalog, and even access to Sony Pictures catalog for movies for Plus Premium, among others. You better try these games to believe it.

Monkey Business: The Best Towers In ‘Bloons TD 6’

0

First here on PVP Live! The game “Bloons TD 6” will be featured for the first time ever. Plain and simple, this is a tower defense game where monkeys pop “bloons.” You’ll see what they look like as you play the game. Basically, it’s “monkey business.”

Since “Bloons TD 6” is a tower defense game, you must pick the best tower. This is your guide to the best of the best, leading you to your wins.

Banana Farm

What’s so cool about the “Bloons TD 6” towers is that they are named fancily, such as Banana Farm, taking inspiration from a monkey’s favorite dish. It’s also among the number one top towers in this game.

Banana Farms are what you need to get to higher rounds, so you must place a few of them in the middle rounds to save effort on upgrading.

You can select upgrades that automatically collect bananas since it is painfully irritating to collect all of them by hand. A banana farmer by your side can help. Otherwise, you can proceed to the third path, as the marketplace autocollects.

Alchemist

Next is the Alchemist. Those who have been playing “Bloons TD 6” for quite some time now will even push this to the number one spot.

However, “Bloons TD 6” gamers who have only utilized middle and bottom path upgrades will say it deserves the second ranking.

The highlight here is the top patch Alchemist. This offers colossal and significant buffs to every monkey in its path, transforming them into raucous beasts. Your ceramic and lead bloons will become trivial. This tower also obliterates Moabs when approached. Yikes.

Wizard Monkey

Meanwhile, the Wizard Monkey tower checks all the right boxes simply for being good. This tower’s instantaneous damage, range, and damage over time abilities are perfect when taking down the most demanding targets.

This Wizard Monkey tower can resurrect balloons upon the third path and send these “zombie” allies backward to the entrance. Harsh. On the other hand, denser and more complex waves give this tower limitless balloons to throw at enemies.

Druid

In this game, the Druid is not a class but a tower. It is also one of the most practical towers since it has been the go-to resolution for many of the game’s most challenging rounds.

Specifically, when paired with Obyn Greenfoot and other Druids, you’ll get some really earnest energy that can decimate tons of volumes of complicated bloons.

Plus, when you are braver and place down a maximum of five Poplust Druids, your toughest battles will become a piece of cake. Remember, too, that Druid towers don’t just inflict high damage but are also sources of excellent money if combined with Banana Farm towers. Pro tip.

Super Monkey

Here’s something interesting but funny to know. In the “Bloons” game series, Super Monkey is one of the first towers introduced. So, it has to be powerful.

Rely on Super Monkey when difficult portions of the game cram too many balloons at a time, leaving beginners gaping on what to do. You need this tower, which is known for its speed and intensity. Even on low upgrades, this is an excellent tower with incredible shooting power and a very distant range. Then, simply upgrade your first path for even stronger popping power for an ultimate high-round work machine. Fabulous at that.

Spike Factory

PVP Live bets, you cannot find a high-level “Bloons TD 6” player who doesn’t use the Spike Factory to its full potential to win matches. Though it’s known as the “last resort” tower, functioning as a safety net for the sections of the map with insignificant monkey action, you’ll love how its bottom upgrade path and long-lasting spikes are a staple for the tower. And, even if you have received pretty bulky nerf in the previous patches, nothing can beat Spike Factory as a great tower in “Bloons.”

Monkey Village

There are a total of over 20 towers in “Bloons TD 6.” Another best tower is Monkey Village. Towers with the name “monkey” on them usually cannot target camouflage or lead balloons, but not with this tower. The Monkey Village should be placed amid all your towers. Then, voila, see magic happen.

But wait, there’s more to it. Its bottom track can accelerate your economies, while its top track accelerates range and monkey attack speed. It can be a very mighty tower on your map when used right. Go give it a try.

Monkey Sub

Seventh is the Monkey Sub tower. Talk about a powerful tower, and this tower would win. It can easily carry gamers across several touch levels all over its town. In particular, its top-path upgrade can effectively turn it into a sniper monkey on steroids, able to see anything within the range of the rest of the monkeys throughout the map.

Moreover, its sub’s darts can auto-lock on nearby bloons, pairing majestically with either a piercing or a double dart upgrade! How about that? Also, please take notice of its level 5 upgrades, which are all game-changers virtually unrivaled in their prowess. If only it isn’t restricted exclusively to water, you’ll see the Monkey Sub tower high above this list.

Heli Pilot

If you are questioning while the Heli Pilot is here, blame it on how valid it is across every map since it can follow the bloons with the top upgrade path. This tower is also helpful on epic maps with its changing courses, spawn points, and exits. Plus, it being in front of all balloons as it spawns is a benefit, regardless of the position of your main damage dealers.

There you have it. The top nine of the best towers in “Bloons TD 6.” You can play this tower defense game on macOS, iOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, GeForce Now, and more gaming platforms.

Date Night-Perfect Cooperative Video Games For Couples

0

What do you do on date nights as a couple? Perhaps you head over to your favorite restaurant or travel abroad, maybe? If you wish to get away from road traffic, you’d be cool just watching Netflix at home? But there’s an exciting way to enjoy a date night while the girl spanks your shoulder if she loses: video games. This guide will explore the best games for date night to play with your significant other. And not just games, but co-op video games. Let’s get to it.

‘It Takes Two’

The title says it all. The best-ever co-op game to play with him or her is “It Takes Two.” This video game will have you playing as a witty engineer named Mary, who, together with her warm-hearted gardener husband, Cody, is faced with an impending divorce just as they are raising their daughter Rose in their countryside home. You’ll learn a lot in this game, then there’s a twist. In a spur of magic, Cody and Mary transformed into their daughter’s handmade dolls, making this game exciting. With your partner, sling, jump, swim, fly, and glide through the in-game obstacles, hoping the family will be together again. It’s up to you to find out.

‘Haven’

Another title every couple must have on their date night collection is “Haven.” Meanwhile, this is an RPG game, but the story is also centered on a couple, Kay and Yu. The story follows them after they leave their home planet to enjoy a new world that people have seemingly forgotten. “Haven” combines open-world discoveries, gathering resources, repairing and building, combat, cooking meals together, and so much more. Your kids will love watching you play.

‘Super Mario Bros. Wonder’

Nothing is as sweet and cheesy as playing the classics, such as “Super Mario Bros.” In this Mario adventure, the iconic plumber returns to his two-dimensional world with his old strengths, so he is “wondering” why this happens. There are so many fresh and innovative ideas in “Super Mario Bros. Wonder.,” plus adventures such as new transformations, moving tubes, musical levels, and so much more. Who says “Super Mario.” is just for the kids?

‘Spiritfarer’

A title that doesn’t reverberate so much, unlike “The Elden Ring” or “Hogwarts Legacy,” but “Spiritfarer” is a unique game. The genre here is “cozy management.” What’s this all about?

Here, you play as the ferry master named Stella, donning what appears to be a Mexican hat-inspired headdress, who ferries spirits across the afterlife by keeping them comfortable and helping them come to terms with what or who they left behind. Think of Hades.

The game offers an optional two-player couch co-op with one of you joining in as, unfortunately, Stella’s cute cat, Daffodil. While the supporting role is not Stella’s lover, as she seemingly doesn’t have one, as far as PVP Live knows, the themes are engaging enough to pave the way for intimate conversations and more.

‘Overcooked’

“Overcooked” is among the best co-op games around, but it is also among the best co-op video games for couples. You don’t have to be a chef or a frequent restaurant guest to enjoy this game, as you’ll experience a real-life kitchen even if you’re not cooking, churning out your competitive spirit. This incredible game is fun to play, and while others find it frustrating, it will never cease to flash a smile on your face. New objectives and more will be unveiled soon, so you better watch out, you better not cry.

‘Untitled Goose Game’

That title sounds awkward, like how awkward an Untitled filename is. Yet, this Aussie-created video game still keeps its charm from when it was released. Its win and co-op goodness haven’t faded even for a short while. Still, it’s cunning, devilish, and diabolical, making it the perfect game for partners (in crime) involving, wait for it, goose.

Moreover, a sequel is reportedly getting a sequel, but it’s still a waiting game for now.

‘Heave-Ho!’

“Heave-ho, heave-ho!” Yes, it sounds like the lyrics to a “Snow White” song, but instead of fantasy themes, you’ve got scientific themes here. You and your significant other will launch yourself into space in a game filled with animations and humor. This video game harnesses simulated physics to create a surprisingly endearing adventure rich with teamwork, fashion, and even betrayal? Yes. Make human chains, hurl yourself onto ledges, and cling to whatever you can grab. It’s an improvisation theatre-inspired game you shouldn’t miss.

‘Snipperclips’

For geeky couples or those wanting to explore their nerdy side, this cooperative puzzle game you can even play with your kids is a must-try. There’s a Main Word mode designed primarily for two players who control characters named Snip and Clip, hence the title. They possess rotatable bodies and when the two characters overlap, you can snip them, creating different shapes. If you think “Heave-Ho!” is already weird, this is even weirder.

Now, you two must work together to think of the most creative solutions to several puzzles, each with a unique goal, from safely bringing eggs to cutting the pointy end of pop balloons. Don’t snip too much of your partner’s body, or it will combust and respawn. Clipping each other is recommended, and more.

‘Diablo IV’

When you really want a more serious game, “Diablo IV” is part of this list. Considered one of the most legendary co-op games of all time, it’s available across various platforms. Recently, it became available on Xbox Game Pass, making it even easier for couples who wish to hop into the adventures of the open-world expanse of Sanctuary. There are also new classes to play – Barbarian, Hunter, Druid, Sorceress, and Necromancer. Of course, the new world bosses are present, so you must have a lot of skill and strategy to get things right. Perfect games before sleeping with each other and ending the night.

It’s not yet Valentine’s Day, but PVP Live is feeling the vibe of the occasion with these date night-perfect co-op games. Stick around for more gaming essays.

Xbox’s Share Of Vast Open-World Maps: Which Is The Best?

0

Immersing yourself in an open world is just fantastic on Xbox. With this console, you can explore exciting virtual worlds while developing your characters at your preferred pace. Features such as simulated reality, character development, and free roam are what complete the picture.

Are you wondering which games on Xbox are best for open-world exploration? Here’s the console’s share of the most stunning open-world maps you don’t want to miss.

1. ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’

If you’re also tuned in to Netflix’s “The Witcher,” you will be awed by how beautiful the world Geralt of Rivia roams around in. Thus, you’ll also be able to experience this in the Xbox game of this popular series. It is raising the bar when it comes to open-world RPGs.

Many games attempted to topple its glory, but “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” stands apart firmly with a world that feels richer and more real day by day, whether it’s hunting in Skellige or chasing sunsets in White Orchard. The perfect backdrops are set for defeating monsters and exploring the bustling streets of its cities. It definitely deserves this spot on this list.

2. ‘Ghostwire: Tokyo’

“Ghostwire: Tokyo” lets you explore the magical vastness of the Japanese capital with a twist in the game, but wait, Tokyo as an open world? Isn’t that weird? ‘Coz Tokyo will be so small, considering the other beautiful destinations in Japan. Of course, the city’s towers are present and waiting for you to explore.

Surprisingly, the map of Tokyo is relatively vast in this game since there are several Easter eggs and collectibles, making your gaming experience here a magical blast from start to finish.

3. ‘Elden Ring’

It did not take long for the action RPG “Elden Ring” to prove its excellence over other games, from its vast open world to everything good about it. Let’s focus on its open world. It does not just add further depth to the game’s lore but also mysteries that make this game breathtaking. Its world is beautiful and atmosphere, without forgetting it has to be terrifying.

There’s no better comrade on your way to becoming an Elden Lord than with a setting on your background that makes it fresh no matter how long you have played. Excellent visual content just for you.

4. ‘Fallout 4’

“Fallout 4” is not the best “Fallout” game on Xbox, as it is also difficult to name a winner when talking about the “best game.” However, playing “Fallout 4” right now makes such a considerable difference not only in the performance but also in the visuals.

Sure, this game isn’t as good as “New Vegas” or “Fallout 3,” but it’s still an excellent game that every gamer will never forget.

5. ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’

Playing the Wild West-themed “Red Dead Redemption 2” on Xbox is obviously nostalgic. Still, it’s also ridiculously real, from the details on the plants to the details on the decomposing bodies of hunted animals. The cities and towns feel very much alive and detailed, while the wilderness is filled with wildlife. Take Arthur Morgan out exploring, have him set up his tent, have him brew his coffee, and have him cook his meals over open fire. All in such a wonderful world.

Plus, things are even more detailed up to Morgan’s smell, making every bit of “Red Dead Redemption 2” feel so much alive. This world is complementing the music and the sound effects. Just gorgeous. “Red Dead Redemption 2” is among the games you must play right now on Xbox.

6. ‘Sunset Overdrive’

“Sunset Overdrive” comes from Insomniac Games, a developer that has made its mark among PlayStation gamers. However, experiencing this game on Xbox makes you feel every inch of this sandbox open-world third-person shooter minus Insomniac’s PS games.

It combines the open-world layout of “Infamous” and the heavily cranked-up shooting of “Ratchet & Clank” games, and you get this. It’s a blast to play, earning it a spot as one of the best modern Xbox exclusives.

7. ‘Grand Theft Auto V’

“GTA V” mandatorily belongs to lists like these, like China is to the Olympics. The open world is a story in itself, stuffed with satisfying acting and satirical comedy. Basically, if you haven’t played this yet, the game will have you chasing three tales across the tapestry of modern America in a fictional version of Los Angeles-inspired Los Santos. There are villages with enormous mansions, as well as slums coexisting with each other. Of course, money makes its world go ‘round.

If you’re tired of driving around, you can also fulfill its missions atop helicopters, boats, and much more. Wild, funny, sentimental, fun, and really good.

8. ‘Cyberpunk 2077’

PVP Live won’t ever forget “Cyberpunk 2077,” but it is low on this list because of its disastrous launch. Yet, it made a detour when it was launched for Xbox. Since then, its open world has vastly improved, and there have been a lot of things to do.

The gameplay is better, with more interesting mechanics and more challenging action. Though the story can still be further improved, it deserves your attention because, well, its newer versions are just trending.

9. ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition’

First and foremost, the world of “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” is not inspired by real worlds, like those of “GTA” and “Ghostwire: Tokyo.” Instead, it’s like transporting yourself to a book’s fantasy world. You’ll always say those “Wow” countless times. Coupled with a haunting soundtrack, the game will make you feel like a character in the story. Don’t forget to discover the secrets scattered across its map, along with the game’s cities and settlements that will always feel like there’s always something new.

Take it away, dear gamer. Collect these video games right now for your Xbox and explore its open world. Feel like the real world outside your room is imperfect. You won’t crave to go outside and face its stresses. Game on.

Every ‘Breaking Bad’ Season From Best To Worst

0

“Breaking Bad” is a story of taking the most dangerous risks just for the sake of saving yourself from untimely death. Here, an ordinary man transforms into a morally compromised and ruthless criminal, manufacturing and selling methamphetamine and getting involved in crimes after finding out he has terminal lung cancer.

It’s a series that has kept the world glued to its seats. “Breaking Bad currently has five seasons, and in this PVP Live list, you’ll get to know each of them, ranked from best to worst. Oh, however, there will be six on this list, as experts want to separate Season 5 into two.

Best Season: Season 5 Part 2

The quest for perfection usually leads to disappointments. “Breaking Bad” Season 5 Part 2 wasn’t a guaranteed success, but it never failed viewers’ expectations. Things were super suspenseful, considering that almost every character’s lives were threatened.

This season, the story of the main character, Walter White, has come to a fiery and emotional end. Yes, this was the very last season so far, and it is, not a surprise, also the best season.

2. Season 4

It’s rather funny because so far, the best season is the last season, and the second-best season is the season that came before. It has to be as the plot has to thicken as the season goes by. The fourth season is well-plotted, with one of the highlights being the rivalry between White and Gustavo Fring that started in the third season. Nerve-wracking. Engrossing. Furthermore, in the last episode, “Face Off,” which is also one of the show’s best episodes, the build-up is remarkable.

3. Season 5A

The third-best is the first part of Season 5. Aw, it’s quite a boring list. So predictable. Here, the drama is very compelling – the post-Fring’s world, which hugely pushed Walter on the verge of turning into a villain. So, by the first part of Season 5, he has become a tyrant, never an underdog anymore. He just got as terrifying as ever here, making this season explosive and a nail-biter.

4. Season 2

The second season is also one of the most well-loved, as with other shows, too, since this is the time you’ve already breathed normally from the pilot season. You’re now fully adjusted. For experts, the batch of episodes in this season is near-perfect. The season took the characters to grim places, and though there were moments of black comedy, Season 2 showed it could topple even the future seasons.

5. Season 3

Unfortunately, the pilot season was the worst, but let’s tackle Season 3 first, the runner-up. Post-Season 1, “Breaking Bad” is just getting better. But still, Season 3 is in the low ranks. It also properly starts the conflict between Walter and Fring, which only gets intense throughout the season. One of the highlights is the protagonist’s descent into villainy by continually challenging him physically, emotionally, and mentally in the most engaging ways. This season started the twist.

Worst Season: Season 1

Unfortunately, the season that was supposed to be the main event, as it is the start, is actually the worst season. Technically, this first season was half-baked because of the writer’s strike, which coincidentally happened at the time of creation, making this season also the shortest. Thus, the ending was also said to be anticlimactic. Yet, viewers found its start produced brilliantly.

No spoilers ahead, of course. It’s up to you to find out. You can now stream “Breaking Bad” on platforms like Roku and Netflix.

‘Genshin Impact’: Kamisato Ayaka’s Guide To Her Ascension And Talent Materials

0

Here’s another “Genshin Impact” guide for you today. One of the most interesting characters in this game is Kamisato Ayaka. This charming lady is a playable Cryo character responsible for the internal and external affairs of the Kamisato clan. She is also the younger sister of Ayato. Stunningly beautiful, noble, and brimming with dignity, Ayaka has likewise earned the title Shirasagi Himegimi, and a perfect role model in Inazuma.

Would you want to experience Ayaka fully in “Genshin Impact”? You better get hold of her Ascension and Talent Materials. Gathering her Materials in this game ushers you to the farthest corners of Inazuma, and if you’d like, you can even go underground for a tough boss battle. Here’s the guide to her Materials.

Ascension Materials

Ascension Materials are Character Development paraphernalia used to ascend your character once they have attained their current maximum level.

To level up Ayaka from the first to the 90th level, you must take note of her six Ascension phases, each needing gemstones, Mora, and a set of rare items, as well as local specialties. One of these is the Sakura Bloom.

Here’s a table to illustrate:

Level Cryo Gemstone Common Materials Local Specialty Normal Boss Drop Mora
20+ 1x Shivada Jade Sliver 3x Old Handguard 3x Sakura Bloom   20,000
40+ 3x Shivada Jade Fragment 15x Old Handguard 10x Sakura Bloom 2x Perpetual Heart 40,000
50+ 6x Shivada Jade Fragment 12x Kageuchi Handguard 20x Sakura Bloom 4x Perpetual Heart 60,000
60+ 3x Shivada Jade Chunk 18x Kageuchi Handguard 30x Sakura Bloom 8x Perpetual Heart 80,000
70+ 6x Shivada Jade Chunk 12x Famed Handguard 45x Sakura Bloom 12x Perpetual Heart 100,000
80+ 6x Shivada Jade Gemstone 24x Famed Handguard 60x Sakura Bloom 20x Perpetual Heart 120,000

Notes:

Cryo gemstones may drop from a certain number of weekly and standard bosses. These include the Wolf of the North, Cryo Regisvine, Childe, and the Perpetual Mechanical Array. Meanwhile, Nobushi drops Hanguard items, with the swordsmen wandering most of Inazuma’s isles.

It is only on Narukami Island where you’ll find the Sakura Bloom. You must also stimulate them using Electro before you can gather them. The Perpetual Mechanical Array, of course, drops the Perpetual Heart.

Talent Materials

On the other hand, Talent Materials, obviously, are Materials used alongside Character and Weapon Enhancement Materials, as well as Character Level-Up items to level up your character’s Talents.

There are two major sources of Ayaka’s Talent materials: Elegance books and an item from a weekly boss fight in Liyue.

The table to illustrate is below:

Level Talent Books Common Materials Mora Boss Drops Crown
2 3x Teachings of Elegance 6x Old Handguard 12,500
3 2x Guide to Elegance 3x Kageuchi Handguard 17,500
4 4x Guide to Elegance 4x Kageuchi Handguard 25,000
5 6x Guide to Elegance 6x Kageuchi Handguard 30,000
6 9x Guide to Elegance 9x Kageuchi Handguard 37,500
7 4x Philosophies of Elegance 4x Famed Handguard 120,000 1x Bloodjade Branch
8 6x Philosophies of Elegance 6x Famed Handguard 260,000 1x Bloodjade Branch
9 12x Philosophies of Elegance 9x Famed Handguard 450,000 2x Bloodjade Branch
10 16x Philosophies of Elegance 12x Famed Handguard 700,000 2x Bloodjade Branch 1x Crown of Insight

Notes:

Find Elegance books from the Violet Court Domain, but they are only available every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. The Nobushi swordsmen drop Handguard items, the same as with her level-up Materials. Meanwhile, the weekly boss, Azhdaha in Liyue, drops the Bloodjade Branch.

Remember, too, that Ayaka shares several of her Materials with the Raiden Shogun and Kamisato Ayato. If you have access to all these three characters, it is still essential to think about who benefits your team the most so you won’t need to spend so much time grinding for hundreds of similar items. Keep playing “Genshin Impact”!

“Genshin Impact” is an action role-playing game featuring an anime-inspired open-world setting and an action-based battle system using elemental magic and character switching. It’s a free-to-play game monetized via gacha game mechanics.

The game occurs in Teyvat, a fantasy world where you can explore seven nations, each tied to a distinct element and each governed by a god called archon. The story revolves around the character known as the Traveler, an interstellar adventure who, at the beginning of the gacha game, gets separated from their twin sibling after they both land in Teyvat.

There along, the Travel journeys across Teyvat’s seven nations to search for the lost sibling, accompanied by Paimon, their guide. As they journey, they become friends with various characters, become actively involved in the affairs of their nations, and begin to unravel the mysteries shrouding the land.

These codes allow you to get ahead in Teyvat.

The Role Your Environment Plays In Academic Success

Have you ever noticed how some days you can study for hours and absorb everything, while other days, you can’t seem to focus no matter how hard you try? Believe it or not, a lot of that can depend on your environment. Your study space plays a vital role in how effectively you learn and absorb new information. This is especially true for students attending an online community college, where you may be studying from home or in various settings. Understanding how factors like comfort, noise, lighting, and color can affect your learning can help you create an ideal study environment. Let’s dive into how to optimize your study space for academic success!

The Importance of a Good Study Environment

A well-thought-out study environment can make a significant difference in your academic performance. When your surroundings are conducive to learning, you’re more likely to concentrate, engage with the material, and retain information.

  1. Comfort: The Foundation of Focus

Comfort is one of the first things to consider when setting up your study space. If you’re uncomfortable, whether from an awkward chair or a too-small desk, you’re likely to get distracted.

Ergonomic Seating: Invest in a comfortable chair that supports your back. A good chair can make long study sessions feel less taxing on your body.

Desk Height: Ensure your desk is at a height that allows you to sit comfortably. Your elbows should be at a 90-degree angle when typing, and your feet should rest flat on the floor.

Tip: Consider using a standing desk or an adjustable desk if you find yourself getting stiff from sitting too long. Changing your position can help maintain your focus.

  1. Noise Levels: The Sound of Success

Noise can either be a helpful companion or a significant distraction, depending on your preferences. For some, absolute silence is needed for concentration, while others may thrive in a bustling environment.

Finding Your Sweet Spot: Experiment with different levels of noise to discover what helps you focus best. If you find silence distracting, consider background music or ambient sounds like rain or coffee shop chatter.

White Noise Machines: If you live in a noisy area, a white noise machine can help drown out distracting sounds. Alternatively, noise-canceling headphones might be a worthwhile investment.

Tip: Create a playlist of instrumental music that helps you concentrate. Make sure it’s something you enjoy but that doesn’t distract you from your work.

  1. Lighting: Brightening Your Study Space

Lighting is another critical factor that can impact your ability to study effectively. Poor lighting can lead to eye strain and fatigue, making it harder to concentrate.

Natural Light: If possible, set up your study area near a window to take advantage of natural light. Exposure to daylight can boost your mood and energy levels.

Task Lighting: If natural light isn’t an option, invest in a good desk lamp that provides bright, even lighting. Avoid harsh fluorescent lights that can be tiring on the eyes.

Tip: When studying at night, consider using warm light bulbs that are easier on the eyes and create a cozy atmosphere.

  1. Color: The Psychology of Your Space

Believe it or not, the colors in your study space can affect your mood and productivity. Different colors can evoke different feelings and responses.

Calming Colors: Soft blues and greens can create a calming environment, helping reduce stress and promote focus.

Energetic Colors: On the other hand, brighter colors like yellows and oranges can energize and motivate you. Consider incorporating colorful accents through decor, such as wall art or desk accessories.

Tip: If you have the option, consider painting your study area in a color that helps you feel calm and focused.

Creating Your Ideal Study Space

Now that we’ve discussed the essential factors to consider for your study environment, it’s time to put them into practice. Here are some tips to help you create your ideal study space:

  1. Declutter Your Space

A cluttered environment can lead to a cluttered mind. Take the time to organize your study area, removing any unnecessary items that might distract you. Keep only the materials you need for your studies within arm’s reach.

Tip: Use storage solutions like bins, shelves, or desk organizers to keep your space tidy. A clean workspace can significantly enhance your focus.

  1. Personalize Your Space

Adding personal touches to your study area can make it feel more inviting. Consider decorating with items that inspire you, such as motivational quotes, plants, or photos of friends and family.

Tip: A small plant can improve air quality and create a calming atmosphere. Plus, taking care of a plant can provide a refreshing break from your studies!

  1. Set Boundaries

When studying from home or in a non-traditional setting, it’s important to set boundaries. Let those around you know when you’re studying to minimize interruptions.

Tip: Use a “Do Not Disturb” sign or set specific study hours that everyone is aware of, so you can focus without distractions.

  1. Experiment and Adjust

Your ideal study environment may take some time to perfect. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different setups and strategies. If something isn’t working, be open to making changes.

Tip: Keep a journal to track what works and what doesn’t in your study routine. Reflecting on your experiences can help you find the best environment for your learning style.

Conclusion: Maximizing Your Learning Potential

The environment you study in plays a significant role in your academic success. By considering factors like comfort, noise levels, lighting, and color, you can create a space that enhances your focus and learning.

As a student, especially in online community college settings, your study space should be a reflection of what helps you thrive. By taking the time to optimize your environment, you’re setting yourself up for success, both academically and personally. So take a step back, evaluate your study space, and make the necessary adjustments to maximize your learning potential. Happy studying!
