Do not get overwhelmed, but here’s a fun fact about “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.” In the Paldea region, where most of the pocket monsters are, there are already 400 of them. In the expanded Kitakami area, there are around 200 more. These are exclusive of the 120 new Pokémons introduced in the game.

So, if you’re going to look at it, you have plenty of choices regarding the Pokémons you can have by your side. However, there’s a consensus from “Scarlet and Violet” avid gamers who say that there are only 10 Pokémons that must be on your team. Get to know them!

1. Arcanine

First and foremost, you must have Arcanine. This is the Pokémon that shouldn’t be away from your team, ever. This Fire-type pocket monster evolves from Growlithe with a Fire Stone and is part of the Field Egg Group. Here are its capabilities:

2. Roaring Moon (Paradox Salamence)

Roaring Moon (Paradox Salamence) is a Dragon-/Dark-type Paradox Pokémon in “Scarlet and Violet.” It has no evolutions and is part of the Undiscovered Egg Group. Here are its movesets:

  • Protosynthesis: Provided that Harsh Sunlight is active or you have Booster Energy, the highest stat of this pocket monster accelerates by 30 percent if the stat is Defense, Attack, Special Defense, or Special Attack, or 50 percent if the stat is Speed.

3. Wo-Chien

Wo-Chien sounds Chinese, it is Chinese. This adorable Pokémon is a Dark-/Grass-type pocket monster who is a member of The Four Treasures of Ruin in this role-playing game. It also has no evolutions and is part of the Undiscovered Egg Group. Here is its capability:

  • Tablets of Ruin: This move lowers the Attack stat of all opponents in the field by 25 percent. It doesn’t stack and also grants immunity to opposing Tablets of Ruin powers.

4. Dondozo

Fourth is Dondozo. Though it also has no evolutions, this Water-type creature, part of the Water 2 Egg Group, is very potent. Its movesets are outlined next:

  • Unaware: Ignores the opponent’s stat changes whenever attacking.
  • Oblivious: With this, you can’t be infatuated, taunted, or intimidated whatsoever.
  • Water Veil: You cannot get burned.

5. Goodra

She’s beautiful, she’s sleek, and pretty strong, too. Goodra is a Dragon-type Pokémon in “Scarlet and Violet,” which evolves from Sliggoo if it finds itself in overworld rain or fog. Another of its evolution, Goomy, is part of the Dragon Egg Group. Find out its capabilities here:

6. Iron Bundle (Paradox Delibird)

It’s not the most perfectly designed Pokémon, but Iron Bundle (Paradox Delibird) should you be part of your league. This Ice- and Water-type Paradox Pokémon has no evolutions, belonging to the Undiscovered Egg Group. Learn about its movesets here:

  • Quark Drive: If your Electric Terrain is active or if it holds Booster Energy, Iron Bundle’s stat gets boosted by 30 percent, provided that the stat is Defense, Attack, Special Defense, or Special Attack, then 50 percent if the stat falls under Speed.

7. Flutter Mane

Also part of the Undiscovered Egg Group, Flutter Mane is a Ghost-/Fairy-type Paradox Pokémon, but without evolutions. Get to know its capabilities below:

  • Protosynthesis: Flutter Mane is also capable of Protosynthesis. Its highest stat is boosted by 30 percent if Harsh Sunlight is active or it is holding Booster Energy, as well as if the stat is Attack, Defense, Special Attack, or Special Defense. If the stat is Speed, you get a 50 percent boost. 

8. Gholdengo

This Ghost- and Steel-type Pokémon in “Scarlet and Violet” evolves from its Chest or Roaming Form Gimmighoul once leveled up. It is part of the Undiscovered Egg Group, too. Here are its movesets:

  • Good as Gold: Can it not be more creative than that? This ability immunizes the creature from various moves.

9. Iron Leaves

A Pokémon whose appearance will remind you of the Patronus in “Harry Potter,” Iron Leaves has to, as it is a Paradox Pokémon part of the Undiscovered Egg Group, but weak to Bug-type moves. That’s why it’s at number nine here. Learn about its capabilities below:

  • Quark Drive: Quark Drive is back, and this time for Iron Leaves. Similarly, if you have Electric Terrain active, otherwise it’s holding Booster Energy, the highest stat of the Pokémon wielding this move gets a boost by 30 percent, considering that the stat is Defense, Attack, Special Defense, or Special Attack. If the stat is Speed, you get a 50 percent boost.

10. Walking Wake

Walking Wake also illuminates. A relatively new Pokémon in the game, it is also a Paradox pocket monster. Here are its movesets:

  • Protosynthesis: Likewise, its highest stat gets around a 30 percent boost if Harsh Sunlight is active or it is holding Booster Energy, as well as if the stat is Attack, Defense, Special Attack, or Special Defense. Should the stat be Speed, you get a 50 percent boost.

‘Tales Of Symphonia Remastered’ And ‘Tales Of Vesperia: Definitive Edition’

As they take on adventures, they discover that saving Sylvarant endangers Tethe’alla, a world parallel to their own. The game’s theme, “RPG that resonates with you,” reverberates in every corner.

Meanwhile, “Vesperia,” which obviously is from the same developer, is also an action RPG with gameplay similar to “Symphonia” and the previous games in the series. The new feature being the trademark action-based “Linear Motion Battle System,” which introduces new elements like online leaderboards. 

The setting is Terca Lumireis, a place that harnesses an energy source known as aer, related by devices known as Blastia. The Blastia have magic powers, such as creating protective barriers around their cities. The main character here is Yuri Lowell, a former Imperial soldier who establishes a guild, the Brave Vesperia, to help a noblewoman, Estellise Sidos Heurassein, who he encounters while on a mission. As they traverse the world, factions with ulterior motives challenge the Brave Vesperia, and Lowell must confront his friend and ex-comrade, now his rival, Flynn Scifo. With those plots, you won’t want to miss these games. 

‘Cult Of The Lamb’

Talk about an award-winning game, and you will have “Cult of the Lamb.” This roguelike video game from indie developer Massive Monster follows a lamb saved from death by “The One Who Waits,” the name of a god-like stranger. Now, the lamb must repay the goodness done to them by creating a loyal cult in its name. Will the lamb succeed? The story is so quirky that it received positive reviews from critics and gamers upon release. It even got three nominations at the 19th British Academy Games Awards, including a nomination for the Best Game award. Now, that’s comparable to an Oscars feat.

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge’

A beat ‘em up game that features the iconic “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” in the world of animation and cartoons, “Shredder’s Revenge” by Tribute Games and Dotemu takes inspiration and cue from the 1987 “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” animated series (what else?) with the gameplay and style borrowing from the arcade and home console game versions of “Turtles” by Konami, which ran from the 1980s to the 1990s. The story follows the Turtles as they set out to stop Shredder and Krang from taking over New York City while battling with foes along the way.

‘Sackboy: A Big Adventure’

As you can see, your favorite titles and the biggest games are not on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, so the more low-key titles like this overshadow them. But that’s perfectly alright, as the fun isn’t subpar. In “Sackboy: A Big Adventure,” you get to follow Sackboy, the main character, in a world built with three-dimensional platforming. It’s not a game you’d want to spend countless hours with, but it’s a great game when you need to take a moment before playing your big games again.

‘Dragon’s Crown Pro’

Next on the list is “Dragon’s Crown Pro.” First, “Dragon’s Crown” is an action RPG from 2013 where you navigate environments from a side-scrolling point-of-view, selecting from six character classes to battle in the style of beat ‘em up, just like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” from earlier, and obtaining loot through repeated dungeon exploration. It has a storyline that follows adventurers as they journey across Hydeland and take on quests to look for the magical Dragon’s Crown. The Pro version features refined artwork and 4K compatibilities, allowing you to explore dungeons and fight dragons at a level so spellbinding you won’t let this game go.

Rely on Super Monkey when difficult portions of the game cram too many balloons at a time, leaving beginners gaping on what to do. You need this tower, which is known for its speed and intensity. Even on low upgrades, this is an excellent tower with incredible shooting power and a very distant range. Then, simply upgrade your first path for even stronger popping power for an ultimate high-round work machine. Fabulous at that. 

Spike Factory

And, even if you have received pretty bulky nerf in the previous patches, nothing can beat Spike Factory as a great tower in “Bloons.”

Monkey Village

There are a total of over 20 towers in “Bloons TD 6.” Another best tower is Monkey Village. Towers with the name “monkey” on them usually cannot target camouflage or lead balloons, but not with this tower. The Monkey Village should be placed amid all your towers. Then, voila, see magic happen.

But wait, there’s more to it. Its bottom track can accelerate your economies, while its top track accelerates range and monkey attack speed. It can be a very mighty tower on your map when used right. Go give it a try.

Monkey Sub

Seventh is the Monkey Sub tower. Talk about a powerful tower, and this tower would win. It can easily carry gamers across several touch levels all over its town. In particular, its top-path upgrade can effectively turn it into a sniper monkey on steroids, able to see anything within the range of the rest of the monkeys throughout the map. 

Moreover, its sub’s darts can auto-lock on nearby bloons, pairing majestically with either a piercing or a double dart upgrade! How about that? Also, please take notice of its level 5 upgrades, which are all game-changers virtually unrivaled in their prowess. If only it isn’t restricted exclusively to water, you’ll see the Monkey Sub tower high above this list. 

Heli Pilot

If you are questioning while the Heli Pilot is here, blame it on how valid it is across every map since it can follow the bloons with the top upgrade path. This tower is also helpful on epic maps with its changing courses, spawn points, and exits. Plus, it being in front of all balloons as it spawns is a benefit, regardless of the position of your main damage dealers.

Here, you play as the ferry master named Stella, donning what appears to be a Mexican hat-inspired headdress, who ferries spirits across the afterlife by keeping them comfortable and helping them come to terms with what or who they left behind. Think of Hades.  

The game offers an optional two-player couch co-op with one of you joining in as, unfortunately, Stella’s cute cat, Daffodil. While the supporting role is not Stella’s lover, as she seemingly doesn’t have one, as far as PVP Live knows, the themes are engaging enough to pave the way for intimate conversations and more.

‘Overcooked’

“Overcooked” is among the best co-op games around, but it is also among the best co-op video games for couples. You don’t have to be a chef or a frequent restaurant guest to enjoy this game, as you’ll experience a real-life kitchen even if you’re not cooking, churning out your competitive spirit. This incredible game is fun to play, and while others find it frustrating, it will never cease to flash a smile on your face. New objectives and more will be unveiled soon, so you better watch out, you better not cry.

‘Untitled Goose Game’

That title sounds awkward, like how awkward an Untitled filename is. Yet, this Aussie-created video game still keeps its charm from when it was released. Its win and co-op goodness haven’t faded even for a short while. Still, it’s cunning, devilish, and diabolical, making it the perfect game for partners (in crime) involving, wait for it, goose. 

Moreover, a sequel is reportedly getting a sequel, but it’s still a waiting game for now. 

‘Heave-Ho!’

“Heave-ho, heave-ho!” Yes, it sounds like the lyrics to a “Snow White” song, but instead of fantasy themes, you’ve got scientific themes here. You and your significant other will launch yourself into space in a game filled with animations and humor. This video game harnesses simulated physics to create a surprisingly endearing adventure rich with teamwork, fashion, and even betrayal? Yes. Make human chains, hurl yourself onto ledges, and cling to whatever you can grab. It’s an improvisation theatre-inspired game you shouldn’t miss. 

‘Snipperclips’

For geeky couples or those wanting to explore their nerdy side, this cooperative puzzle game you can even play with your kids is a must-try. There’s a Main Word mode designed primarily for two players who control characters named Snip and Clip, hence the title. They possess rotatable bodies and when the two characters overlap, you can snip them, creating different shapes. If you think “Heave-Ho!” is already weird, this is even weirder.

Now, you two must work together to think of the most creative solutions to several puzzles, each with a unique goal, from safely bringing eggs to cutting the pointy end of pop balloons. ‘Diablo IV’

When you really want a more serious game, “Diablo IV” is part of this list. Considered one of the most legendary co-op games of all time, it’s available across various platforms. This season, the story of the main character, Walter White, has come to a fiery and emotional end. Yes, this was the very last season so far, and it is, not a surprise, also the best season. 

2. Season 4

It’s rather funny because so far, the best season is the last season, and the second-best season is the season that came before. It has to be as the plot has to thicken as the season goes by. The fourth season is well-plotted, with one of the highlights being the rivalry between White and Gustavo Fring that started in the third season. Nerve-wracking. Engrossing. Furthermore, in the last episode, “Face Off,” which is also one of the show’s best episodes, the build-up is remarkable. 

3. Season 5A

The third-best is the first part of Season 5. Aw, it’s quite a boring list. So predictable. Here, the drama is very compelling – the post-Fring’s world, which hugely pushed Walter on the verge of turning into a villain. So, by the first part of Season 5, he has become a tyrant, never an underdog anymore. He just got as terrifying as ever here, making this season explosive and a nail-biter. 

4. Season 2

The second season is also one of the most well-loved, as with other shows, too, since this is the time you’ve already breathed normally from the pilot season. You’re now fully adjusted. For experts, the batch of episodes in this season is near-perfect. The season took the characters to grim places, and though there were moments of black comedy, Season 2 showed it could topple even the future seasons.

5. Season 3

Unfortunately, the pilot season was the worst, but let’s tackle Season 3 first, the runner-up. Post-Season 1, “Breaking Bad” is just getting better. But still, Season 3 is in the low ranks. It also properly starts the conflict between Walter and Fring, which only gets intense throughout the season. One of the highlights is the protagonist’s descent into villainy by continually challenging him physically, emotionally, and mentally in the most engaging ways. This season started the twist.

Worst Season: Season 1

Unfortunately, the season that was supposed to be the main event, as it is the start, is actually the worst season. Technically, this first season was half-baked because of the writer’s strike, which coincidentally happened at the time of creation, making this season also the shortest. Thus, the ending was also said to be anticlimactic. Yet, viewers found its start produced brilliantly.
