By next week, League of Legends: Wild Rift will be having another closed beta test in the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore before moving on to include other regions at a later date.
Disclaimer: this closed beta test is only available for Android devices right now, while iOS users can register for a chance to take part in future tests. Included in this beta will be six new champions as well, namely Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Jarvan IV, Sona, Singed, and Varus.
Not only that, but cosmetic items will make their way to Wild Rift, as well. The game will have an in-game currency called Wild Cores, and you will be able to purchase these items using that.
For this closed beta, over 300 items have been added, and these include skins, recalls, and emotes, along with champion poses, in-game emblems, and baubles.
League of Legends: Wild Rift will also have a ranked mode, including an all-new tier called Emerald. For the higher ranks, the Victory Points system that is available in League of Legends’ PC version will also be included in Wild Rift.
Among other things, the game’s camera controls have been improved as well. Now, players have the option to choose which camera controls work best for them. The options available include a semi-locked camera, picture-in-picture, minimap movement, and even custom button layouts.
If you live in the aforementioned regions and you want to be a part of the closed beta, all you can do is wait and hope that you’re randomly chosen. However, please do keep in mind that you need to have pre-registered first.
League of Legends: Wild Rift will be available to the rest of the world at some point, but right now, the closed beta tests will only be available to Android. It’s a free-to-play game that will have in-app purchases.
