Little Devil Inside has taken a long time to build. Originally launched in 2015, the action-adventure game’s scope was considerably expanded thanks to a Kickstarter campaign. Years later, Little Devil Inside became a PlayStation console exclusive, and the game’s development is still ongoing without a release date.
Little Devil Inside, on the other hand, is getting closer and closer to its release date. The most in-depth look at Little Devil Inside yet is revealed in the latest teaser, which was displayed during Wednesday’s PlayStation State of Play.
The October 2021 State of Play trailer for Little Devil Inside gives a deeper look at the action-adventure game’s globe layout. Consider a JRPG-style overworld map, a scaled-down depiction of the world that allows for faster travel over great distances.
The world map in Little Devil Inside has a tilt-shift effect that gives it a realistic appearance, but the characters are displayed as toy figurines or board game meeples. It’s nostalgic while being quite current.
Players will be able to explore Little Devil Inside’s world map freely, regardless of where the story or current objective leads them. They can walk, take the train, ride a horse, or use automobiles, depending on what is available.
There’s no news on whether or not there will be an airship, but Final Fantasy fans will undoubtedly be hoping for one. Little Devil Inside’s developer, Neostream Interactive, claims the game is “not about leveling up” as rapidly as possible, therefore exploring will be encouraged.
Players will meet two different types of encounters while exploring the world map. The first is what you’re used to, such as entering a town in Final Fantasy 7. It transports users to a real-time gameplay setting where they can engage in all real-time actions, including combat.
The other is distinct in that it does not deviate completely from the map. Dialogue, a hazard on the map, or other minor yet engaging interactions can all be included in these mini-encounters. It’s a fun feature that allows for brief and small narrative and gameplay moments.
The trailer is also a terrific way to expose potential Little Devil Inside players to the tone and comedy of the game. Little Devil Inside’s protagonist Billy and the world he inhabits are more than just fighting and tenacious questing.
PlayStation fans and others have gotten a terrific introduction to the action-adventure game’s setting, aesthetic, and gameplay thanks to the June 2020 trailer. There’ll almost certainly be more to come. However, because Little Devil Inside has yet to be given a release date, it’s unknown when or where that information will be revealed. Fans of Little Devil Inside will have to wait as usual.
