‘The Equalizer 3,’ September 1st

If you followed the previous “Equalizer” films, you should brace yourself as a third movie in the series is coming to you soon. 

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, “The Equalizer 3” is a vigilante action thriller that is a sequel to “The Equalizer 2,” and the third and last installment of the trilogy. 

The movie stars Denzel Washington as the retired U.S. Marine and former DIA officer Robert McCall. It also features Dakota Fanning, Sonia Ammar, David Denman, and Remo Girone. 

‘The Nun II,’ September 7th

We’re not yet even close to Halloween, but the month of September is already giving us the vibes, especially with “The Nun II” movie. 

This is a Gothic supernatural horror film from the direction of Michael Chaves. It is the sequel to the 2018 flick, “The Nun,” and the ninth installment in the overall “The Conjuring” universe franchise. 

“The Nun II” stars Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, and Bonnie Aarons, returning from the first film. It also has Storm Reid and Anna Popplewell in the cast. 

Set four years following the ending of the first movie, the story of “The Nune II” follows Sister Irene as she comes face to face once more with the demonic force Valak, the Nun, at a boarding school in France.

‘Dumb Money,’ September 15th

Love Reddit? You will like this film for sure. “Dumb Money” is a comedy-drama biopic directed by Craig Gillespie, and written by Rebecca Angelo and Lauren Schuker Blum. The movie is based on a book titled “The Antisocial Network” written by Ben Mezrich, chronicling the GameStop short squeeze of January 2021. 

“Dumb Money” is based on the true story of a group of rag-tag investors from the Reddit page r/WallStreetBets, who banded together to put the squeeze on at least two hedge funds that bet shares of GameStop would tumble down. 

This movie features a cast that includes Paul Dano, America Ferrera, Vincent D’Onofrio, Peta Davidson, Nick Offerman, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Ramos, Seth Rogen, and Shailene Woodley. 

‘Expend4bles,’ September 22nd

“Expend4bles,” or “The Expendables 4,” is an action movie directed by Scott Waugh, who also previously directed “Need for Speed.” The movie is a sequel to “The Expendables 3” and the fourth installment in the “The Expendables” film series. 

The story is, of course, about The Expendables, but this time, they are assigned on a mission to stop Suarto, who manages a terrorist organization, from smuggling nuclear warheads that will ignite a conflict between the United States and Russia. 

“Expend4bles” features Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Randy Couture, and Dolph Lundgren returning from the previous films. They will go together with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Iko Uwais, Tony Jaa, Levy Tran, Jacob Scipio, and Andy García.

‘Saw X,’ September 29th

A lot of horror movies coming out next month, right? Another is “Saw X,” directed by Kevin Greutert, and written by Peter Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. “Saw X” is the 10th installment in the overall “Saw” movie series. It is also a direct sequel to “Saw” from 2004 and a prequel to “Saw II” from 2005. 

Set between the “Saw” and “Saw II” events, a sick and desperate John Kramer embarks on a trip to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure, hoping to get a miracle cure for his cancer. But only to discover that the operation is a scam, defrauding the most vulnerable.

This movie features Tobin Bell, Synnøve Macody Lund, Shawnee Smith, Michael Beach, Steven Brand, and Renata Vaca, among others.

‘The Creator,’ September 29th

Are you a fan of science fiction? If you are, then this movie is for you. “The Creator” is a science fiction action thriller movie from the direction of Gareth Edwards. 

“The Creator” features a stellar cast that includes John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, Sturgill Simpson, and Allison Janney.

‘The Kill Room,’ September 29th

“The Kill Room” is a dark comedy thriller movie from the direction of Nicol Paone and a story by Jonathan Jacobson. A thriller and comedy rolled into one? Sounds exciting. 

The movie’s story is about an art world meeting with the underworld when a money laundering scheme accidentally turns a hitman into an avant-garde sensation overnight. With that story to tell, we’re pretty sure you will look forward to this film. 

It features a stellar cast that includes Uma Thurman, Joe Manganiello, Samuel L. Jackson, Debi Mazar, Maya Hawke, and Dree Hemingway, among others.
